Today’s overachieving teacher is Katie Meyers and she is planning on using the money to create a classroom economy! Read what she wrote about her class below.

“I am the High School Business teacher at Sheldon High School. I have the privilege of teaching the seniors about personal finance. To make this a fun class for my students, we are creating a classroom economy. Students will create resumes and apply for classroom jobs. They will get paid for these jobs (after filling out their W-4) and for doing their class work. They will have to pay rent on items they use in the classroom, including their desk, computers, chair, and any supplies. I will give them a paycheck weekly. They will be in charge of keeping track of their bank account with a register.”
