As part of our Salute to Veterans, today we honor Joval Eblen. He has a strong stomach, a heart of gold, and overdue for some me-time! Hear how he reacts to a surprise vacation, thanks to VISIT FLORIDA!
“In pilot school, instructors will tell you is look to your left and right. Half of you will die before retirement. Joval told me this, as he listed off 17 pilot friends that had already passed away – nearly one pilot per year of his service. Joval has served 21 years as an Army Pilot flying the UH-60 Blackhawk in multiple wars and missions, saving countless lives, and losing just as many. His memories scarred with tales of sorrow, but a love so strong for why he served.”
“Every lift off can end deadly and it takes a strong stomach and a heart of gold to keep going out into danger to save others. Joval is selfless, but believes he is not a hero because he knows there is always someone who has sacrificed more than him, but he is wrong. Joval encompasses all that a hero is: noble, courageous, and admired for outstanding achievements. He has raised 4 beautiful children, cares for his parents, friends, and strangers. He will leave this world one day giving back to someone else.”
