As part of our Salute to Veterans, today we honor Manoj Sewal. He served his country with honor from 2004-2011 losing several brothers along the way and still continues to serve his community by being a Firefighter/Paramedic. Hear how he reacts to a surprise vacation, thanks to VISIT FLORIDA!

“I would like to nominate my husband Manoj Sewal.

My husband is the most selfless person I have ever known.

After the events of September 11, 2001 it was laid strongly on his heart to serve his country. As soon as he was old enough, he served his country with honor from 2004-2011 losing several brothers along the way.

Since leaving the military, he still continues to serve his community by being a Firefighter/Paramedic for the citizens of DeSoto, Texas.

As a firefighter, he has received many life saving awards and just this year was named Paramedic of the Year.

On his off days, he teaches Paramedicine and EMT classes at Dallas College, teaches Fire Prevention at DeSoto’s Fire Academy, teaches CPR classes, serves on the security and safety team at our church and serves on the Regional SWAT team as a medic.

Manoj has a servants heart, is a wonderful husband and father to 3 beautiful children. There is no question, he would lay down his life if it meant protecting another.”
