As part of our Salute to Veterans, today we honor Shawn Martin. He severed in the military for 4 years and then went on to get his degree in therapy. Hear how he reacts to a surprise vacation, thanks to VISIT FLORIDA!

“Shawn is an amazing man. He married my sister in 06, trust me marrying into our crazy family would’ve scared anyone. He severed in the military for 4 years. He then went on to college & got his degree in Therapy. He became a therapist for Veterans with PTSD & sexual trauma. He has been serving veterans as a therapist for 18 1/2 years, became the Director 16 years ago and also he heads up more than one center. He won KAMFT award in 2009. He also gets awards from RCS (VA) often, two in the last year. He dedicates his life to the veterans, their families, his family, and anyone who comes in his path. He has no problem helping anyone no matter the time of day. He gives himself more than anyone I know. He NEVER complains. I could not ask for a better man to marry my sister and become a father to her 2 kids and show them what a man is and what a real father is all about. He is a great husband, father to their 3 children, papi, & man. I wish everyone had the chance to meet him and know him.”
