As part of our Salute to Veterans, today we honor Steven and Lori Smith. They both have gone above & beyond for our country and overdue for some me-time! Hear how they react to a surprise vacation, thanks to VISIT FLORIDA!

“Lori is my best friend of 20 years. She has been a dedicated Army wife, while her husband Steven has been on multiple tours of duty – I think 10 or so of fighting for our freedoms. They both have gone above and beyond for our country. He sacrificed his time away from his family while she raised their 3 children alone in different parts of the world that include – Alabama, Colorado and Germany. Just recently they also adopted their 4th child. A son.”

“They are an extremely deserving couple that absolutely needs a break from the day in and day out for their whole family. They’ve never been stationed near their family or myself who lives in Texas – so they literally do not have a village for when someone gets sick or the parents needs date nights. Steven and Lori are the epitome of a working class, freedom fighting American family that deserves the world for all the sacrifices they’ve given for our country. It would be a shock to them if they were selected.”
