“I realize this submission is a little unconventional, but I think it would be very special to recognize the family of Cameron Haggerty. Cameron served in the US Army for 3 1/2 years, with the highlight of his service being his time as a guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery. Cameron was a strong and dedicated soldier, husband, father and friend. We are heartbroken to share that Cameron passed away very unexpectedly at only 28 years old on October 21, 2020 leaving his wife of 3 1/2 years, Brandalyn to care for their 3 month old daughter Indie and their 21 month old son, Finnley. Traveling was one of Cameron’s favorite hobbies; one that he shared with his wife and had already begun passing down to his children. While nothing will ever fill the hole that losing Cameron so young has left in their lives, this could be a welcome respite from the sadness, anger, and hurt that this loss has brought to this family. Thank you for your consideration.”
