J-Si’s Blog: Awkward Family Email of the Day

I took a tip out of Kidd’s book yesterday… I cooked! Ok, I didnt really cook, but I did grill some chicken with the grill Kinsey got me for my birthday. When Kinsey came home from work, it was all ready to go. Baby was happy, food was cooked, and the house was clean… ok, the house was not clean, it was a mess. Why am I talking about my cooking? Because I never do it, and because these words came out of Kinsey’s mouth: “this is the best chicken I have had in a long time! You can actually cook!” Look at them apples! I didnt even really know what I was doing. I kind of just put the stuff on the grill and flip it ever couple of minutes. Am I supposed to flip it every couple of minutes? I dont know, but it sure did make me feel like a chef. I did try to get a lil fancy and dropped a piece on the ground. I was going to leave it there for the squirrels, but Kinsey saw it and got mad at me because she thinks it would attract a bobcat into our yard.

On the Cason update: is it bad that I was trying to teach him, and the two dogs how to roll over? So far, Dex is doing the best. He can roll over if I give him a treat. Cason can only roll onto his belly and then he cries. Delilah just runs away. Speaking of Cason, it looks like he is getting his first cold… or he has allergies. Either way, he has developed what I like to call “pug breathing”. Yeah, he sounds like a lil pig, which may sound cute, but is not that cute at all when it happens all night long. I would not hear it because he sleeps in his crib now, but I did get a nice doze of it every time Kinsey fed him.

Now for the awkward family email of the day: Kinsey has a cousin we have only met once because she lives somewhere up north. Anyways, her mother let the family know that the cousin has given birth to a healthy boy. Cool huh? Then she goes on to say that “she has very large breasts, but is having trouble feeding the baby because she has flat nipples.” THAT. JUST. HAPPENED. We could not stop laughing! I wonder if she knows that the whole family knows that we know about her “flat nipples”. Good times! ha
