Well, It’s Done. The Kellie Raspberry Birthday Bash of 2016 is in the books. Would I call it a success? Heck YES!

Sure, it was a LOT of work. AND, YES, It was a headache trying to organize and have all of the details fall into place…but all in all, it was worth all of the trouble. And actually, I wouldn’t call it trouble. It was just a LOT! But Kellie had a GREAT time. The customers had fun and Vanilla Ice had a lot of fun too. I am SURE of that.

I know that because of what he did AFTER the show. His performance was over promptly at 9:50pm. It was 50 minutes of energy. Then, he signed autographs and took pictures with anyone and everyone for over an hour. Then, the most fun part of the evening happened. Kellie wanted to sing a karaoke song with Vanilla Ice. So, at 11:15pm, he walked inside my bar and joined us on stage. It was Kellie, Vanilla Ice, and me singing … We sang Karaoke together. Then when we were done with the first song, we sang another song… then, another and another. Then customers came up and sang with Vanilla Ice as well. Before we knew it, it was 1:30am, and Vanilla Ice was STILL on stage singing Karaoke. His Manager turned to me and said, “He must be having a GREAT time… He NEVER does this.” He was on stage AFTER his performance for an additional 3 STRAIGHT hours! My one-hour performance had turned into 4 hours of fun with Vanilla Ice… But did I manage to sing a little country? Heck Yes I did. I sang a little Blake Shelton and a little Chris Jansen and Vanilla clearly hadn’t heard those before but he did join in as well.

Thanks Vanilla Ice for being The COOLEST Performer that I have ever had and creating the most fun that we have ever had at McKinney Avenue Tavern.
