A Match Vs Another Person
A Match Vs Another Person

I wonder how many people have missed opportunities every single day to have met someone that may have been “a match” simply by not having the guts to take the next step. This has to happen more often than we could ever know, right? Over the years, who knows how many times it’s happened? Then again, there are probably more than half of these meetings that occur and the “other person” never, ever gives the chance meeting another thought. I wonder if these stories would make an interesting podcast? Hmm…

Well, anyway, this did happen to me just Sunday. I arrived at the airport from Cancun and walked outside to wait on my Lyft. I spotted a very attractive young lady waiting on her ride as well. I made a little small talk and found out her name, Alysa or Elise, I think. She had a fairly thick Russian accent. In fact, She was arriving from Russia where she had been to a World Cup game. I’m guessing the Croatia/Russia game. Any way, it was about this time that my driver called. He was waiting upstairs. I said goodbye and I walked away. And as usual, I said to myself, why don’t you ask her for her number. But I didn’t. Then as soon as I got into my Lyft, I asked the driver if he could circle back around. He made the loop for me. But of course, by that time, the Russian Beauty was gone. It all goes back to that saying: “If you see something, do something!”
