This weekend was a bit ordinary. I think after a week of vacation, that’s probably a good thing. Friday evening was a simple night of Karaoke. And I guess that was what prompted me to start planning the going away party for my good friend that we will call, “Mike.” He’s getting ready to leave town and I’m taking it upon myself to get the core group of friends together. I’ve made the dinner reservation and now, I’m just trying to get everyone together. It’s not a huge event or anything but it does mean a lot to me and I hope my buddy gets to enjoy a night that is dedicated to him and his wife.

Saturday night, we had a musician come in and play and this girl was maybe THE best guitar player that I have ever seen. And this girl is only 19 years old. While that was going on, I did have a new friend make the 25-minute drive to meet up. That’s always nice when someone does that. Yes, we met on a dating app. She hung out about 2 hours at my restaurant as we watched the band and chatted a bit. I think she had a great time. I walked her to her car around 10:30p or so and away she went. See, I told you my weekend was pretty ordinary. Hope you had a GREAT one!
