I’m not a gambling man but these commercials that are promoting fantasy football and betting finally got the best of me. I’ve had a few hundred dollars sitting in this account for over a year. It all started with a $50 bet that I made over 2 years ago, and I won and it grew to $100… Then $200. And finally, last night, the urge hit me to make a bet. Like I said, I am not a gambler. Well, it could be argued that I am since I did buy a bar but that’s beside the point. Anyway, I made the call last night to place a bet. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that I had $446 in my account. The lady asked how much I wanted to bet (on the Cowboy game). “ALL OF IT!” Yes, All. The line was 6, which meant that the cowboys needed to win by 7 for me to be a winner. Well, if you haven’t heard, the Cowboys won!!! But only by 1 point. So, my streak of consecutive gambling wins is now over! And my $446 is all gone! DAMN!

Speaking of losing money…

Thanks to all of the people sending me pictures of boats for sale. Ever since this “Buy me a Boat” song has hit the radio, I’ve been wanting to buy a boat. No, I can’t swim…and I live 4 hours away from the ocean. But the song is SO damn catchy; it’s become my new karaoke favorite and its got me looking at boats online almost daily.

Will I buy one? Probably not… But it’s so much fun to dream!
