The only thing better than going to Home Depot is TAKING someone to Home Depot. And it was even better because it was my friend, J-Si that I was taking. He was buying some stuff to take care of his yard at his new house. He bought a self-propelled lawn mower, a leaf blower, a weed eater and a hedge trimmer. He was so excited and he took my advice on what to buy.

I have to be honest; I was not real impressed with his initial lawn mowing skills. Instead of him starting along the edge, He just went straight down the middle of the yard. Oh my God, NO DUDE! So, I showed him how to make straight lines. But as he was mowing, he was missing spots. And when he did go along the edge, he didn’t have the wheels on the concrete and he was missing the grass along the edge. I didn’t want to be “Mr. Mow It All” or anything but I wanted him to get it right.

It was a LOT of fun showing him how to mow and I did the weed eating around his house and fence. I will be interested to see if he gets better each time he does it. Man, I love mowing and there is something about the feeling of accomplishment that you get when you do it yourself. Good job J-Si.
