Our first Kidd’s Kids trip without Kidd. For the kids that are actually going on the trip, they won’t notice the difference. For one thing, they’ve never been to Disneyworld WITH Kidd. So, how could they possibly know the difference? All they know is that they were picked to go to Disneyworld and they have been thinking about nothing else for the past 2 months. It is up to us to make sure that they are just as excited and have a great time like the rest of the kids have in years past. For us, there will never be a hole in the show as big as the one this weekend. Getting on this plane without Kidd will be a very difficult thing.

So, the real emotion that we will all be feeling and what we display to the families, at times, will be two totally different things. How will we all handle it? That’s anyone’s guess. Just know that each and every one of us will be doing everything possible to make sure that this weekend will be the best time that these families have ever had! We must make sure that this is not a memorial. We’ve done that. this is the weekend for the kids and their families to forget about their worries and hospitals and medicines and just have fun. And the reality is that this weekend, we need the kids as much as they need us.
