Big Al’s Blog: No More Mike
Big Al’s Blog: No More Mike

3-day-weekends are always wonderful. It makes me wonder if we had 4 day work weeks all the time would we be any less productive? I mean who was the genius that came up with the 5 day work week in the first place? Who put him in charge? That’s a pretty big decision for one man to make, wouldn’t you say? I don’t know about you but no one asked me my opinion on this matter. I would definitely liked to have had a vote. But no, some dude, probably some married dude that just wanted to get away from his wife just came up with the concept all on his own. Oh, you know he was married. No single person would ever come up with the idea of working 5 days and just having 2 days to play. And God bless the British and that whole concept of taking a month off to “holiday.” That’s a great concept. And the Chinese pretty much take 3 weeks off to celebrate the Chinese new year right? I’m just saying maybe we should reevaluate the whole system that we have in place over here. I say lets just cut it right down the middle. Lets work 3 and a half days a week and lets rest 3 and a half days per week. Lets always have the day after the Superbowl off as well as the month of July. No one wants to work when it’s one hundred degrees anyway. Ok, I’m going to start a petition. Those always work-sign below if you want a 3 and a half day work week!

Just in case you were wondering, Mike Tyson will not be making an appearance at Big Al’s McKinney Avenue Tavern.mike-tyson-facts I know, I know…you were really looking forward to it just like I was but it isn’t going to happen. I sent the request in to get him to come into the studio with us the morning of his One Man stage play and I was trying to get him to make an appearance that afternoon for “1 minute with Mike” where women would get in the ring with him for one minute after making a $250 donation to charity, but his people sent an email to my people, (me), and he is only doing phone interviews. If we wanted him on the phone, Kidd can do a pretty good Mike Tyson impression. Oh well, No Mike!…But At least Coolio is coming back!
