UGH, I’m Tired All Over Again
UGH, I’m Tired All Over Again

What a busy weekend! I am SOOO glad to have this one behind me. Friday was a Super Busy evening and night. I tried (unsuccessfully) to complete my moving process. I did manage to put another dent in it but it seems like it will take forever. But I will say that the more I get done, the more I become detached to my old apartment. At first, I felt like I was moving away from a loved one but now, it’s like “Bye Felicia.”

Then, I had to get ready for two events. The first event was a tailgating party where a client had reserved my Party Trailer to come to his site at Southern Methodist University. They gather around and eat, drink and watch the game. Last time, My TV on my trailer didn’t work so I wanted this one to be perfect. So, I set the trailer up and headed to the next event. It was a sneak peak, soft opening of my new restaurant. It was 30 miles away and I needed to get down there. Sure enough, when I got about half way there, my bartender that was working the Party trailer called me and said he couldn’t get the TV to work. So, I continued to Waxahachie to my opening and I mean, I walked in, took three pictures and walked right back out. I HAD to get the TV working. So, I drove the 30 miles back to the event and jacked around with the TV some more and called a friend that does AV work. I mean I was desperate. I couldn’t do 2 events for this customer and NOT have working TVs both times. Finally, my friend arrived and got it going. Disaster averted! By this time it was 8pm and as much as I wanted to drive the 30 miles back to my opening, I just couldn’t. And Saturday was supposed to be the busier day.

Saturday pretty much started where Friday left off. But, without going into details, it was a great day at the new restaurant. Lots of people came through to see the new spot. So what, I didn’t have furniture in my restaurant…There was a festival going on right outside my front door and my doors were open and we were selling drinks, pizza slices and Curtis and I were there in the middle of it all. And then, when that was over, I got back to McKinney Avenue Tavern and I’m talking to a friend and a drunk girl walks up and interrupts us mid-sentence. And when I called her out on it, she called ME rude. Her friends tried to intervene but she refused to admit that she was in the wrong. So before this escalated to an even uglier situation, I had my security guy remove her from the building. I hate throwing people out. I really do. But sometimes it has to be done.

UGH, I’m tired all over again.
