Halle Berry is excited about “John Wick 3”… Justin Bieber & Ed Sheeran’s project… “Empire” renewed for Season 6… Steve Harvey is heading for divorce… and Did Pump Rules star Lala Kent & Randall Emmett split?
Halle Berry is so excited that she FINALLY gets to work with Keanu Reeves in “John Wick 3” because she blew her chance 25 years ago when she turned down “Speed.” Halle told Entertainment Tonight, “I stupidly said no. But in my defense, when I read the script the bus didn’t leave the parking lot! I was like no, no, no, no. Then I see the movie and I’m like, arrrrghh!” But now, time has passed and both she and Sandra Bullock went on to have fabulous, Oscar-winning careers. And now we get to see her kick butt with Keanu when “John Wick 3” hits theaters on May 17.
Last week Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran’s managers teased us with similar pictures of the two of them in front of green screens with the same captions, “This guy! Something is happening.” And now Justin tweeted picture of him and Ed in front of that green screen again — both wearing Hawaiian shirts — and he captioned the photo, “10.” Scooter Braun posted the same photo with the caption, “Hmmmmm 10.” So new music is coming. We just have to figure out if it’s 10 days from yesterday, which would make it May 10. Or maybe the Hawaiian shirts are a clue that this could be a surfing themed song or video because surfers hang 10?
One week ahead of its Season 5 finale, Fox has renewed “Empire” for Season 6. The studio released a statement yesterday, “By mutual agreement, the studio has negotiated an extension to Jussie Smollett’s option for season six, but at this time there are no plans for the character of Jamal to return to ‘Empire.’” So they’re leaving it very open-ended. Jussie was written out of the final couple episodes this season after he was arrested for staging a fake hate crime. Those charges were dropped, but the public hasn’t exactly rallied around him. The cast of “Empire” has, though. Taraji P. Henson, Terrence Howard and several others on the show wrote a letter asking Fox to bring Jussie back.
RadarOnline.com says Steve Harvey is heading for divorce number 3, and in preparation, he’s liquidating assets. Their source says Steve put four of his properties in Texas on the market, selling two of them for roughly $2 million. He also allegedly transferred ownership of another Texas property from his and his wife Marjorie’s names into just his name. Radar’s source said Steve learned his lesson from his second divorce, where it took years to get their joint properties into his name. The source told Radar that things have been going south since Steve found out NBC was dropping his daytime talkshow. Sure, he has a million other jobs, but he needs a ton of cash to support the lifestyle to which Marjorie has become accustomed. So when Steve got the news from NBC and started scrambling, he and Marjorie had a huge fight, and she reportedly took their daughter on a month-long trip around the world. They had a big tie spending Steve’s money through Japan, Vietnam, the Maldives, Tanzania and Russia.
The situations may be staged, but the feelings get real on “Vanderpump Rules.” Jax Taylor had asked Tom Sandoval to be one of his two best men when he marries Brittany Cartwright this summer. But while filming the season’s reunion show, things got so ugly between the two of them that Jax ended up kicking Tom out of the wedding party. Unless these two crazy kids can mend their friendship, only Tom Schwartz will perform Best Man duties for Jax. Meantime, Lala Kent has everyone thinking there’s trouble between her and her fiance Randall Emmett. She deleted all photos of him from her Instagram except for the one from their engagement party back in December. Was it because he looked like such a wimp in that feud with 50 Cent? Or is she just messing with us. As a KiddNation member pointed out, Randall and Lala were at Tom and Katie Schwartz’s house last night, and she knew this because Randall posted a picture on his Instagram.
