J-Si’s Blog: I am a proud dad

It was a big day for me yesterday. For the most part it was your average day, until around 6 pm, while I was hanging out with Cason. He has really gotten into singing, but he only sings a “mama” or “papa” song. Cutest thing ever. But, yesterday we hit a breakthrough… and I caught it on video! I asked him to sing his song, which he did. That on its own made Kinsey’s eyes water. Then I asked him what his name is… Kinsey has been working on teaching him his name for a couple of weeks now. Well, my lil man grabbed my phone, pulled it in, and said “Ca-Sin” in his lil one year old voice. This is a moment I will never forget… and I got it all on camera! I got lucky! I am thinking of buying one of those gopro cameras, putting it on a helmet, and just rolling at all times when I am with Cason. Kinsey already says I should wear a helmet anyways. So I can kill two birds with one stone.

Mexican-National-soccerI would also like to thank the United States. Because of them, the Mexican National soccer team is still in the running to go to the World Cup. It makes it sweeter because the US pulled out the win at the very end… and because Mexico and the US are heated rivals.

Oh and by the way, here’s an update on the crazy Miami bachelor party that I am going to next weekend. We will be dressed up as Double Dare contestants, and now you can add this to the list: one of the guy’s grandma lives there, and apparently, she is going to come out and hang out with us because she wants to see him and he doesn’t want to hurt her feelings and tell her that she can’t. Soooo, Big Al is officially off the hook for worst guy code violation, for the time he brought a girl to my bachelor party… the grandma thing takes the cake.
