Well, my guys weekend was fun… but we did have a bit of a miss on one of our activities. Friday went well. We did some Karaoke at Al’s bar, dropped the mic, and went off to finish the night off with no problems. But, Saturday was a different story. When you decide to kick your night off with a concert, it better be one of those shows that pumps you up. The kind of show where you just want to keep on dancing after the final song plays. The kind of show that allows you to make some friends when you get tickets in the pit… the moment you make eye contact with a stranger, you nod, and maybe even give a high five.
That was not the case on Saturday. Paul and I started the night out at a concert that had a very famous person starring in it. I had not heard any of this band’s music. This is a big gamble. But, Paul and I tend to have similar music taste… except for a couple bands here and there. This band can be added to the “miss” list. There is nothing wrong with this band’s music, it’s just not my cup of tea. I like more of a dancing type of concert, and this was more of a chill concert. I am talking about Zooey Deschannel and her band She and Him. She has a great voice, no doubt about it, but her sound is more of an old school sound… really, old school sound. Like from the 40’s or 50’s. We left that show about 5 songs in because her songs were Nora Jones type of chill, and after 5 slow songs in a row, she said, “ok, guys! We are going to slow it down here.” That’s when we knew it was our time to go. By the looks of her merch table, they definitely pulled in at least a hundred bucks!
Not much went on after the concert. I wanted to go home and rest up for my big father’s day celebration the next day. I woke up, went and ate pancakes by myself. I know, it’s kinda sad. Then I went home because I started missing Cason. So how did I spend the rest of my day? Enjoying my free movie channels! It was a free movie channel weekend. Yes! I watched Superman II, Superman III, Rocky II, and 21 Jump Street… and I think I did that all before 2 pm. Pretty sad huh? I felt like a college girl, who got dumped, bought a tub of ice cream, and watched movies to get rid of the pain. haha.
In Cason news, since he is still under investigation for theft, I have continued to look for stuff. Good news: I found my Nike fit bracelet! Where did he put this? Oh, in the trunk of his truck that he rides when he plays outside. It was slightly wet and the battery died. How did I find it? Because I was outside taking the trash out, and saw a spider on my foot, so I naturally jumped, like a champion. I knocked his truck over and boom! This made me wonder what else he stuck outside, so I searched his little play house, and found a pair of my underwear under his little sink! I still need to find my Samsung phone. I may offer a reward for that one.
