Today’s overachieving teacher is Sammie Holt and she is planning on using the money to provide a care corner for students! Read what she wrote below.

“Most of my kiddos are considered low income. This means that a lot of times, they have basic needs like purchase of school supplies, food, personal hygiene items, etc not being provided for them. I have dedicated a corner of my room to helping with that. We call it the care corner. In there, is everything a student might need to be successful. Everything from shelf stable food items, school supplies, extra clothes, hygiene items, and more. We are only in week 2 and already the need is greater than I can provide with my own funds. I would use the money to purchase things for the care corner!”
