Today’s overachieving teacher is Madison Bannon and she is planning on using the money to create a charging station for students! Read what she wrote below.
“I’m a first year teacher, so I don’t have a lot of great things in my classroom. If I had an extra $500, I would use it to buy extra chargers for my students’ devices. I work in a very low-income community and some kids can’t afford a new charger or some can’t charge their device because they share with a sibling. I would love to have a charger station to make sure students always have a charged device, which helps them academically and disciplinary (they get written up for not having devices charged). If I had extra money after, I would love to get some flexible seating.”
