Today’s overachieving teacher is Sherry McGaughy and she is planning on using the money to provide a “Student of the Year” Scholarship! Read what she wrote below.

“I work in a Career Technical Center. We have 13 Occupational programs. I serve as a Students Services Coordinator. I help students with academics as well as choosing a career paths. I would use the $500 toward a CTE “Student of the Year” Scholarship. Although our students perform well both academically and in their vocational class, they don’t get the recognition they deserve. Presenting a CTE student with Student of the Year and a scholarship will show we value them as a CTE scholar. Thanks for considering me and Tupelo Career Technical Center as a winner of your Classroom Giveback.”
