Today’s overachieving teacher is Tamara Bowles and she is planning on using the money to provide her students with items to purchase each week! Read what she wrote about her class below.

“I plan to teach my high school self-contained special needs students about the economy. This will offer my students with hands on experience with managing money, earning a paycheck for the jobs they do in class and about the benefits of saving. Your donations will help me provide my students with items to purchase each week with their savings. Learning to work with money is a skill most of my students do not have. The ability to work for a paycheck and pay bills is a completely foreign concept. Plus it increases independence!”
