“Dancing With the Stars” elimination… John Travolta has no interest in the Scientology documentary… Octavia Spencer angers fans at book signing… Nina Dobrev is leaving “The Vampire Diaries”… and Air-date of Bruce Jenner’s interview with Diane Sawyer
SPOILER ALERT: In the bottom three last night were Willow Shields, Riker Lynch and Michael Sam, but it was Michael who ended up being the third celebrity dancer eliminated from “Dancing With the Stars.”
John Travolta has not watched the Scientology documentary “Going Clear” and he says he doesn’t care to. He told the “Tampa Bay Times,” “I’ve been so happy with my experience in the last 40 years that I really don’t have anything to say that would shed light on [a documentary] so decidedly negative. I’ve been brought through storms that were insurmountable, and [Scientology has] been so beautiful for me, that I can’t even imagine attacking it.” John went on to say that if it wasn’t for Scientology, he wouldn’t have made it through the loss of his son, Jett, six years ago.
She’s not only an actress, Octavia Spencer is an author. In fact, she was at the Barnes & Noble at The Grove in LA, to sign copies of her new children’s book, Randi Rhodes Ninja Detective — The Sweetest Heist in History. But before the signing was over, parents were pulling their kids out of line and demanding refunds because Octavia was being such a B! One now FORMER fan of Octavia told the “Daily Mail” that Octavia was “mean, rude and horrible to everyone.” During a Q&A, she acted like she was forced to be there, giving short, blunt answers and rolling her eyes when someone asked what she thought was a stupid question. And when it came time for her to sign copies of her book, Octavia refused to talk to her fans. Instead, they had to give their names to her assistant, who would write the names on a sticky note and hand it to Octavia. And as far as taking pictures with fans, she said there would be no touching and no coming around to the back of the table where she was sitting.
In an extremely long, open letter to her fans, Nina Dobrev announced on Instagram that she is leaving “The Vampire Diaries.” She said she always knew she wanted her character’s story to be a six-season adventure, and time’s up!
We finally get to hear Bruce Jenner speak for himself. His interview with Diane Sawyer will air on ABC on Friday, April 24. It’s a special, 2-hour edition of “20/20.” ABC won’t reveal anything about the interview other than to say it’s “far-ranging.”
