A couple years ago, Ryan Reynolds starred in a live-action Pokemon movie called “Detective Pikachu.” Did you love it? Hopefully it had more to do with Pokemon than it did with Ryan because a new live-action Pokemon series is coming to Netflix, but Ryan has absolutely nothing to do with it. However, sources say it will be similar to his movie. The producer behind “Lucifer” is set to write and produce it.

John Mayer’s latest album “Sob Rock” debuted at #2 on the Billboard album chart. Many artists might be disappointed in not debuting at #1, but John’s cool with it. In fact, he’s a little surprised it did as well as it did. John posted a collage of other artists on the charts right now like Doja Cat (#4), Olivia Rodrigo (#3), and Pop Smoke (#1). He captioned it, “I’ve been making music for a while now. I’ve had my rocket ride years, my figure-it-out years, and most recently the years of having settled into myself and proudly passing the love of music on to others. That’s how the story goes, if you’re lucky. I don’t know what to make of still having a seat at this table.” John also thanked his fans saying, “This is a new beginning. With love and gratitude, John.”

In a new interview, Joe Jonas was asked about “a funny or weird memory from staying at home during the pandemic.” Joe said, “I got very into Lego building. My wife (Sophie Turner) and I probably built 10 monstrous Legos. It was also quite funny, because I was super focused on helping her but then I was getting easily distracted and playing Fortnite. At first we argued about it and then it was like, she loves her organization and it’s completely different from the way I would build it: ‘You do you; I’ll be here for support.’ So then I became moral support; I’ll make the cocktails for us. We built the Batmobile; we built Harry Potter World.”

Saying the current legal arrangement “has grown increasingly toxic” — do you think he knew what he did there? — Britney Spears’ new attorney has officially taken steps to have her father removed from her conservatorship. He proposed that Jamie Spears be replaced with a man named Jason Rubin — a CPA who has Britney’s blessing to serve as conservator of her estate, which court document say equates to $2.7 million in cash and more than $57 million in assets. Rosengart said, “Any father who genuinely loves his daughter and has her best interests at heart should willingly step aside in favor of the highly respected professional fiduciary nominated here.” The next hearing on Britney’s conservatorship was originally scheduled for Dec. 13, but the judge moved that up to Sept. 29.

Alex Rodriguez turns 46 today — 3 days after his former fiancée Jennifer Lopez turned 52 “What it do!” Is it a coincidence that they both decided to celebrate their birthdays on luxury yachts in St. Tropez? Maybe. And even though Alex didn’t outright acknowledge his ex’s birthday, he did like her sister Lynda’s Instagram post wishing her big sister her “best birthday yet!” Also interesting to note, Alex and Jennifer still follow each other on Instagram, despite calling off their engagement four months ago. It feels like longer, right?? Meantime, Jennifer is picking up right where she left off with Ben Affleck. She’s even wearing his name spelled out in diamonds on a necklace.
