In reboot and sequel news, there will be a “Freaky Friday 2.” The script is already being written and both Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis are in talks to return as mother/daughter daughter/mother, Tess and Anna Coleman. In the 2003 version — which was actually a remake of the 1976 original starring Jodie Foster as the daughter — a mom and daughter who aren’t getting along switch bodies and have to live the other one’s life for one freaky Friday. It’s been 24 years since the ground-breaking movie “The Blair Witch Project” debuted in theaters, and since then, we’ve had seven more films in the franchise. But now, like it or not, we’re getting another one and filming is expected to start as early as this summer. But it’s a no-go for a live-action remake of the “Powerpuff Girls.” The pilot reportedly wasn’t already shot, but the new bosses at The CW says they will not be moving forward with the project based on their issues with the pilot’s tone and structure. And we can also forget about a “Back to the Future” reboot. While the movie’s creators Robert Zemekis and Bob Gale remain anti-reboot, Michael J. Fox said, “I’m not fanatical. Do what you want. It’s your movie. I got paid already.” By the way, Michael’s documentary “Still” is now streaming on Apple TV+. It’s a very raw look at Michael’s life with Parkinson’s Disease.

Was it all a publicity stunt? Chrishell Stause and non-binary Australian singer G Flip eloped to Las Vegas a couple weeks ago, but Page Six says there’s no record of them ever getting a marriage license. Their reps aren’t commenting, but sources told TMZ they plan to have an official wedding ceremony at a later date. Of course, a lot of people are smelling that this was all a publicity stunt to promote Chrishell’s Season 6 of “Selling Sunset” and G Flip’s new song, “Be Your Man.” Chrishell used that song as the soundtrack for her fake wedding announcement on Instagram.

More than a year after the sudden death of Taylor Hawkins, the Foo Fighters have a new drummer. During a livestream promoting the Foo Fighter’s upcoming 11th studio album, several famous drummers — Tommy Lee from Motley Crüe, Chad Smith from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Danny Carey from Tool — were all joking around when they were interrupted by someone asking if he could just play a song or two. And that’s when we found out that Josh Freese is taking Taylor’s place. He’s not only a friend of the band, Josh is a longtime session drummer who’s played with over 300 bands including Guns N’ Roses, Nine Inch Nails, Paramore, Sting, and Puddle of Mudd. He’ll join the Foo Fighters when they kick off their tour on Wednesday, supporting their new album “But Here We Are.” We’re not sure if he’s Taylor’s permanent replacement or if he’s just drumming on the tour.

It’s been 9 years since Miley Cyrus hit the road for “The Bangerz” world tour. And if you’ve been waiting on pins and needles for her to announce when she’ll go another world tour to promote her latest album, “Endless Summer Vacation,” you’re not going to like this. In a new interview with British Vogue, Miley said she may never tour again. Miley said she does love performing — especially for family and friends — but she said, “Singing for hundreds of thousands of people isn’t really the thing that I love. There’s no connection. There’s no safety.” She also said it “not natural” and that it’s “so isolating because you’re in front of 100 thousand people and then you are alone.” That doesn’t mean she won’t perform in big concerts again. She just won’t commit to a big solo tour.

SPOILER ALERT! The final three going into the “American Idol” 3-hour finale were Megan Danielle, Colin Stough, and Iam Tongi. About halfway through, Colin was eliminated, and it was down to just Megan and Iam. Megan sang what will be her first single “Dream Girl,” and Iam sang his single, “I’ll Be Seeing You,” in tribute to his later father. And when the final tear fell, the last one standing was Iam. And the internet is crying foul. A lot of fans are posting that “American Idol” was rigged, saying this was not a singing competition but a sympathy competition. And on top of that, they want all new judges. But if they won’t do that, they’d settle for getting rid of Katy Perry. Alanis Morissette has been suggested as her replacement, since she did such a wonderful job filling in for Katy when she skipped a show to perform at King Charles’ coronation concert.
