Box office holiday news… Heather Locklear going to rehab… Louis Tomlinson single again… Mariah Carey’s embarrassing performance… and Are Jennifer Lopez and Drake REALLY dating?
Not only did I see “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” on New Year’s Day, a lot of other people did, too! In fact, “Rogue One” was the number one movie over the holiday weekend, with another $50 million. It’s now the second-highest grossing movie of the year behind “Finding Dory.” “Sing” was number two at the box office with $41.5 million. Coming in third was “Passengers” with $15.6 million.
So sad to hear about Heather Locklear going to rehab for the fifth time. RadarOnline.com is reporting that she suffered a massive breakdown over the holidays and was crying and screaming as she was carried into rehab. Heather has had a long history of battling booze and prescription pills. She first checked into rehab in 2008 and has been in and out ever since.
Louis Tomlinson may be single again after his girlfriend was spotted with another man over the holidays. On New Year’s Day, somebody caught a blurry photo of Danielle Campbell holding hands with Gregg Sulkin, who is Bella Thorne’s ex-boyfriend. In fact, Danielle Snapchatted herself ringing in the New Year with Gregg and some other people at the stroke of midnight. Noticeably absent was Louis, who posted a picture of himself on New Year’s Day and captioned it, “I’ve felt better! Hello 2017.” This could all be a big misunderstanding on our part, but IF they’re done, it must’ve happened real recently. Just one week before the New Year, Danielle posted a picture of her kissing Louis on the cheek and wishing her love a happy birthday.
There’s so much finger-pointing going on after Mariah Carey’s embarrassing performance in Time’s Square on NYE. First, Dick Clark Productions says Mariah blew off rehearsal, but then there are pictures of Mariah at rehearsal. And her team says she complained that the sound was choppy and she couldn’t hear herself. They assured her it would be fixed by show time. But even up until the minute before she went on stage, Mariah was still telling them she couldn’t hear and the rest is history. Mariah’s manager is upset they didn’t cut to commercial and then when she asked them to kill the West Coast feed, they refused. She says that just proves to her that they intentionally wanted to create this viral moment at Mariah’s expense. And Mariah reportedly is upset with Ryan Seacrest for not supporting her during the incident. She and her team feels like he should have come out on stage and stopped the performance instead of leaving her out there to flounder alone.
Are Jennifer Lopez and Drake REALLY dating, or is this just a publicity stunt to promote their new music together. First, Jennifer blew off her NYE performance in Miami saying she wanted to be with her family. Instead, she was with Drake at his show in Vegas. They’ve shared pictures of themselves cuddling on a couch… they shared video of them being crowned prom king and queen from a video set… Could this be true love blossoming or two savvy artists who know how to get us talking? Jennifer has been single since calling off things with Casper Smart in August. Drake and Rihanna have dated on and off for seven years and apparently they are REALLY off after this JLo thing. Rihanna unfollowed her on Instagram….
