ASAP Rocky Found GUILTY In Swedish Assault Case

Todd & Julie Chrisley indicted… VMA performers… Jessica Simpson disables comments… Harry Styles has turned down the role of Prince Eric… and ASAP Rocky found GUILTY in Swedish assault case

Todd and Julie Chrisley of that show “Chrisley Knows Best” may get to know the inside of a prison cell real well if they’re found guilty. They’ve been charged with 12 counts of bank fraud, wire fraud and tax evasion, and if they’re convicted on all counts, they’re facing up to 30 years in prison. But before the indictment was issued, Todd went on his Instagram to deny everything, blaming it all on a disgruntled former employee who would steal from the family, create false documents, forge their signatures and bug their home. He wrote, “I’m telling you all this now because we have nothing to hide and have done nothing to be ashamed of. Not only do we know we’ve done nothing wrong, but we’ve got a ton of hard evidence and a bunch of corroborating witnesses that proves it.”

MTV has announced that Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes will perform at the Video Music Awards, which will air live on Monday, August 26. Other performers include Lizzo, Bad Bunny, J Balvin, Lil Nas X and Rosalía. The show will be hosted by comedian Sebastian Maniscalco.

Jessica Simpson has had enough. After being mommy-shamed one time too many, she’s disabled the comments on her Instagram. We don’t know if it was actually one comment in particular or a cumulation of things. She’s not saying. We do know that most recently she was slammed for allowing her 4-month-old daughter Birdie to sleep on her stomach. And before that, a lot of people threw a fit that she allowed her 7-year-old daughter Maxwell to dye the bottom of her hair purple after her favorite character on Disney’s “Descendants.”

The twitterverse erupted in rapturous joy yesterday when both AMC Theatres and Regal Cinemas tweeted that Harry Styles had been cast as Prince Eric in the upcoming Little Mermaid movie. But a few hours later, those tweets were deleted. Variety later confirmed that Harry had “respectfully declined” the offer. No reason was given. The entire cast is expected to be announced next week at Disney’s annual D23 Expo in Anaheim.

Judges in Stockholm, Sweden, found A$AP Rocky and his two friends guilty of assault. All three were given a suspended sentence, meaning no more jail time. A$AP is the only one who has to pay the victim — Mustafa Jafari — $1300 in restitution. A$AP said he was acting in self-defense when two young men harassed them for several blocks before attacking his bodyguard. But the judges said there was no need for the men to kick the man when he was on the ground, thus, it was assault.
