“The Bachelor” finale… LL Cool J’s Twitter rant… Selena Gomez is the new queen of Instagram… Kanye West to join Instagram?… and Ben Affleck addresses Jennifer Garner’s ‘Vanity Fair’ interview
SPOILER ALERT: Boring Bachelor Ben picked Lauren B over JoJo, but that’s not the biggest surprise of the night. Everyone assumed that because she finished in third place, Caila would be the next Bachelorette. That’s the way things work in Bachelor Nation!! In fact, camera crews were seen following Caila around her hometown in Ohio on March 4 and they started casting for bachelors for her season five days later. BUT!! When producers saw how popular JoJo was on Twitter, they changed their minds and pulled the rug out from under Caila. So basically, she got dumped TWICE.
Ben Higgins and Lauren B. Get Engaged
LL Cool J went on a since-deleted Twitter rant yesterday, announcing that he is retiring from music. But then he said the whole thing was a joke. He came back on Twitter to announce that he’s officially coming out of retirement and starting work on a new album. In fact, his studio time was already set for 8pm. LL also wanted us to know he’s “gonna massacre the rap game!!!”
Selena Gomez has racked up 69.5 million followers on Instagram, pushing her past her BFF Taylor Swift’s measly 69.2 million fans and making her the most followed person on Instagram!
Kanye West’s wife does well on Instagram. She now has 63.7 million followers. And Kanye is thinking about getting himself one of them IG accounts, but only under one condition. He tweeted, “no one can ask me or try to tell me what to Instagram… It’s my art…” Kanye has mainly shared his thoughts and feelings with us on Twitter, explaining, “My tweets are a form of contemporary art only compromised by people trying to tell me what to tweet and not to tweet… Non artist trying to grab the paint brush…” Kanye also took the time to tweet Clippers owner Steve Ballmer offering to buy him lunch so he could pitch his idea to redesign the team’s mascot. Steve tweeted back, “Better than lunch, Let’s grab a Clips game together and talk.” Kanye accepted. 1000 percent.
Two weeks after Jennifer Garner spilled her guts to Vanity Fair about her failed marriage to Ben Affleck, Ben has something to say about it! He basically told the New York Times that he was fine with it. Ben said, “Jen’s great. She’s a great person. We’re on great terms. I just saw her this morning, so that’s the reality that I live in.” Ben also didn’t have a problem with her discussing the nanny, whom Jen didn’t blame for the divorce, by the way, saying they’d been separated for months before that rumor hit the press. He said, “She felt like she wanted to discuss it and get it out there and get it over with so she could say, ‘Look, I already talked about it — I don’t want to do it again.’”
