Kobe Bryant’s dad is auctioning off the 2000 NBA championship ring that Kobe had gifted to him. This is NOT the original ring Kobe won during his first championship — it is a replica that Kobe ordered for his dad, Joe. As of now, the bid to beat is $141K, and bidding ends on March 30. You can check it out on Goldin.co. The 14-karat gold ring is a size 11 1/2. “LAKERS” is smack dab in the middle, surrounded by a bunch of small diamonds with five larger round diamonds bordering each side of the face. The auction site said, “Obtained directly from the Bryant family, this ring is a true one-of-a-kind, and we can confirm that it is the only championship ring ever given by Kobe to his father.” If you didn’t know, before he died in January of 2020, Kobe Kobe had a strained relationship with his parents. According to the LA Times, Kobe’s parents didn’t like the fact that he chose to marry a woman who wasn’t black. In fact, Kobe’s parents refused to attend Kobe and Vanessa’s 2001 wedding. Still, spruces say Kobe tried to work on the relationship with his parents. But things got ugly when they tried to auction off a large collection of memorabilia from Kobe’s career — including his high school uniforms and a pair of Lakers championship rings from 2000 that he gifted them. Kobe actually sued his parents saying he hadn’t given them permission to sell those things. But now, apparently, there’s nothing standing in their way.

In streaming and movie news, Peacock renewed Bupkis for a second season, but Pete Davidson said, “No, thank you.” Pete released a statement saying, “Of all the work I’ve ever done, Bupkis is by far what I’m most proud of…..I do also feel that this part of my life is finished. I’m very excited for this next chapter and for you guys to see the work.” And in movie news, Margot Robbie’s production company has its next project. She and her partners are bringing The Sims to the big screen. And Also, a new Popeye movie is in the early stages of development. Our favorite spinach-loving sailor man first appeared in a 1929 comic strip called Thimble Theater. The upcoming movie will be the first live-action reboot of this character since 1980’s Popeye starring Robin Williams as Popeye and Shelley Duvall as Olive Oyl.

TMZ Sports has confirmed that Conor McGregor will fight Michael Chandler this summer — and it comes straight from the horse’s mouth…with the horse being Michael, who said, “I’ve got the official announcement. It’s happening this summer. I can’t tell you the actual date, but it’s happening this summer!” But in another interview, Michael said he thinks it’s happening June 29. Conor hasn’t been in the ring since July 2021, when be broke his lower leg during a UFC match with Dustin Poirier. In addition to recuperating from that serious break, he got sidetracked with his new movie, Road House, which is now streaming on Prime Video.

In December 2022, Brittany Moreland gave birth to Marlon Wayans’ daughter Axl July Ivory Wayans. Marlon has been paying her child support, but Brittany wants more. She’s filed a petition to establish that Marlon is, in fact, the father. She’s requesting primary custody with Marlon receiving visitation rights. Brittany also says he needs to pay for all her legal fees and “reasonable expenses of pregnancy and birth.” That’s followed with the list of her expenses, and by Brittany’s math, that’s $22,080/month. But Marlon fired back, telling The Shade Room, “It’s the classic case of a good, loving, responsible father shelling out over $18k per month for a one-year-old, and an entitled woman decides she wants more. My mama and dem would’ve lost their minds for $2k…All these women having to drag men to court who pay NOTHING towards their children. And here, a woman gets a doctor’s salary and says it isn’t enough? I’ve had two children before this. I’ve never had this problem. I’m a good man with a good heart and strong sense of responsibility, but I refuse to be used and discredited.” Marlon is also a father to 23-year-old Kai and 22-year-old Shawn, whose he shares with his former girlfriend Angela Zachary. And in other child support news, Tristan Thompson’s baby nama Maralee Nichols is suing him for almost $58K in back child support for their 2-year-old son Theo.

Bianca Censori’s dad would like to have a word with Kanye. A source told the Daily Mail that Leo Censori invited his daughter and son-in-law to Australia to address how Kanye is treating his baby girl. But the source said, “Bianca is hesitant to allow this to happen because she knows how her father will react.” Maybe she has reason to be worried. Leo’s brother is a notorious gangland killer nicknamed “Melbourne’s Al Capone.” Eris Censori was sentenced to death in 1982 for murdering someone, but that was later converted to life in prison. Leo also had his run-ins with the law over his involvement in a gambling cartel and serving prison time for heroin possession. Leo sent his wife to the US to talk some sense into their daughter, but a source said Leo felt like his wife only enabled Bianca to keep doing what she’s doing. Now the source says Leo “wants to have a proper sit down with Kanye and ask him what the hell he is thinking when he parades Bianca around like a trashy naked trophy pony.”
