Don’t you hate it when you love something and people go and change it on you? Well, the people at Skittles have realized the error of their ways and they are going back to their original flavor lineup they had when Skittles first launched in 1979, and that’s orange, lemon, strawberry, grape and LIME. For whatever reason, 8 years ago, they replaced lime with green apple, saying it out-performed lime in taste tests. Over the years, they’ve brought back lime in special promotions and even did an all-lime pack at one point. But now lime is here to stay and green apple will get to make special appearances from time to time. By the way, for their 30th anniversary in 2019, Skittles surveyed its fans and found out that lemon is the least favorite flavor.

Katie Couric has a new memoir called “Going There” coming out in about a month…and she does not hold back. Katie went full scorched earth. No one is safe, including Martha Stewart, Prince Harry, Larry King, and more. Katie says Martha Stewart required “some healthy humbling (prison will do that … ) to develop a sense of humor.” She also describes a bizarre 15-minute date she went on with Michael Jackson whose hand felt like a “dead fish” when she shook it. When she met Prince Harry at a polo match in Brazil during his party boy phase, Katie said the stench of cigarettes and alcohol seemed to “ooze from every pore” in his body. She calls the late Larry King a creep. After going out to dinner with him once, Larry invited Katie back to his apartment. She said he lunged at her with his tongue and his hands saying, When I like, I REALLY like.” By the way, Larry was 24 years older than Katie. She also writes about going to a dinner party at Jeffrey Epstein’s $75M townhouse in NYC. She described it as “Eyes Wide Shut with a twist” with creepy chandeliers and body-part art. Among the guests that night were Prince Andrew, Chelsea Handler and Woody Allen, George Stephanopoulos, and Charlie Rose. Some are saying this memoir is the final nail in the coffin for Katie’s career. Her last major gig was with Yahoo, and that ended in 2017.

There’s a remake of the classic Kevin Costner/Whitney Houston movie “The Bodyguard” in the works, but if you were hoping to see Chris Evans and Lizzo cast in those roles, it’s not happening. In a recent interview, screenwriter Matthew Lopez said, “When Warner Bros. approached me about the idea, I quickly said I would, but I wanted the protagonist to be Latina. They agreed to that.” Matthew said, “Instead of focusing on an established star like the one Whitney Houston played, this is about a young Latina performer who has just become famous. It’s about how her life has changed because she is an overnight sensation. In the 21st century, that means she’s in immediate need of protection.”

Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus shared some great news yesterday. He is cancer-free! Back in April, Mark shared that he’d been diagnosed with Stage 4-A Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, which is the same cancer his mother had and also beat. Mark has been documenting his cancer battle on social media for his fans. Earlier this month he announced he completed chemotherapy, but it wasn’t until yesterday that he found out the results. He posted on social media, “Just saw my oncologist and I’m cancer-free!! Thank you God and universe and friends and family and everyone who sent support and kindness and love. Still have to get scanned every six months and it’ll take me until the end of the year to get back to normal but today is an amazing day and I feel so blessed.” Another blessing to come out of this is that Mark’s relationship with Tom DeLonge has been repaired.

It was a GOOD day for Britney Spears yesterday. The sole purpose of yesterday’s hearing was to have Jamie Spears suspended immediately as conservator of her finances and replaced temporarily with a CPA. Mission accomplished. The reason the CPA is only temporary is because Britney’s finally got an attorney working FOR HER and not the conservatorship. Mathew Rosengart is going to spend the next few weeks working towards the ultimate goal, which is to end the conservatorship altogether. That could potentially happen at the next hearing on Nov. 12. Britney didn’t attend the hearing, but a source told Page Six that Britney burst into tears when she heard the good news. The source said, “For the longest time, she had begun to think that she would never see the day that her father’s domineering control over every single aspect of her life would end, but it finally happened. She’s in shock and at a loss for words but literally jumping for joy. She hasn’t felt joy like this in 13 years.” Of course, we all went straight to Britney’s Instagram to see if she had something to say. It’s obvious she’s referring to what happened yesterday without coming right out and saying it. Britney posted a video from the cockpit where she’s flying a plane! She captioned it, “On cloud 9 right now 🤩☁️✈️ !!!! First time flying a plane and first time in a prop plane ✈️ !!! Geez I was scared 😳 🙄 !!! Pssss bringing the ship 🛳 home, JL … Stay classy beautiful people !!!! New pics coming soon 📷😉✨ !!!!”
