Tiffany Haddish made a surprise appearance… Watch GRAMMY Sunday LIVE on Feb. 4… Darius Rucker was arrested… Travis Scott gave a janitor $5,000… and Britney Spears slams Justin Timberlake
Listen to “Showbiz – Feb 2, 2024” on Spreaker.
Tiffany Haddish has one less DUI case to worry about. Back in November, she was bested for being asleep behind the wheel while stopped in the middle of the road. Tiffany was in an LA courtroom yesterday to accept a plea deal. In exchange for dropping two misdemeanor DUI charges, Tiffany pleaded no contest to one count of reckless driving. She’s still has to deal with a DUI case in Georgia, but it looks like she plans to fight that one. This once dates back to January 2022 when, once again, Tiffany was arrested after officers found her asleep behind the wheel, this time under the influence of marijuana. Tiffany pleaded not guilty.
Tiffany Haddish made a surprise appearance in a Los Angeles courtroom today and accepted a plea deal that dismissed her two misdemeanor DUI charges in favor of a reckless driving conviction.

The Grammys are this Sunday night live from LA, hosted once again by Trevor Noah. You can watch on CBS. SZA is this year’s most-nominated artist with nine, followed by Phoebe Bridgers, Victoria Monet and mix engineer Serban Ghenea with eight. A bunch of artists have six nominations — Taylor Swift, her best friend Jack Antonoff, Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, Brandy Clark, Miley Cyrus, Boygenius, and Jon Batiste. Among the performers, we have most-nominated SZA, Billy Joel, Joni Mitchell, Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, Travis Scott, Burna Boy, and Luke Combs. There are also rumors that Tracy Chapman will join Luke onstage to perform Fast Car, which she originally released 35 years ago! This would be a huge deal because Tracy hasn’t performed in public since the night before the 2020 presidential election, when she sang Talkin’ Bout a Revolution on Late Night with Seth Meyers.

Nashville police pulled over a driver for having an expired registration tag. The man behind the wheel was Darius Rucker — yes, THAT Darius Rucker from Hootie and the Blowfish, but NO, he is not Hootie. Officers then discovered Darius had a little something-something on him, which led to a trip downtown, a mugshot, and $10,500 bail, which he quickly posted so he could go home. His ex-girlfriend Kate Quigley posted on X, ““Yes. I’ve heard. All I can say is Karma. ” Less than an hour later, Kate posted a bikini selfie while winking and sticking out her tongue, adding, “Mood when u hear your d-bag ex got arrested. #Karma” What’s all that about? Back in July of 2020, we found out that Darius and his wife of 20 years got divorced. Two months later, Kate and Darius were Instagram official after she posted a picture sitting on his lap. After a few months, whatever it was, wasn’t any more and the relationship ended. Then in September 2021, Kate and 3 friends accidentally overdosed on cocaine and fentanyl, and Kate is the only one who survived. When a reporter asked Darius about his ex-girlfriend, he said, “You know, she’s doing great. She’s coming out of that. My heart goes out to all the other victims, but she’s doing OK.” One of Kate’s fans saw that clip and posted, “Show business really sucks. You can be beautiful, talented, funny, kind and sexy. Have so many accolades, but if something bad happens douche reporters only care if you banged Hootie!” A couple comments later, Kate posted, “ That Stung. Won’t lie. When i saw the TMZ report i thought, great. He’s probably writing a song about me called, ‘Let Her Die.’” She also posted, “Hi Darius, Could u plz refrain from making public comments about my health or well-being since u haven’t called once to see how i’m doing & have no clue? Thanks Boo Boo!!!”

Travis Scott is in the middle of his Utopia tour. At his stop in Miami, he noticed a man trying to mop in the mosh pit while all these sweaty kids were jumping up and down around him. Travis stopped the show and asked why this was happening, and then told someone to go get $5000 out of his bag. Travis gave the janitor all that cash, telling him to put down his mop and enjoy the rest of the show.

Britney Spears went on Instagram to apologize to anyone she offended in her memoir, saying she was “deeply sorry.” Then she added, “I also wanted to say I am in love with Justin Timberlake’s new song ‘Selfish.’ It is soo good.” praised her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake’s new songs that he’d just performed on SNL. A couple nights later, Justin was performing a small concert in NYC and told the crowd, “I’d like to take this opportunity to apologize….to absolutely (BLANKING) nobody,” before launching into Cry Me a River, a direct diss to Britney. Britney has since deleted her praise post to Justin, replacing it with a picture of a full moon looking like it’s going into a basketball hoop. Britney captioned it, “Someone told me someone was talking s–t about me on the streets !!! Do you want to bring it to the court or will you go home crying to your mom like you did last time ??? I’m not sorry !!!” Your move, Justin!
