Weekend box office news… Bruce Springsteen surprise performance… Rixton’s lead singer popped the question… One Direction is going to take a break… and Dead body found in Demi Moore’s pool

It’s the weakest debut ever for a Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, but “Ant-Man” still came in first with $58 million at the box office. “Minions” was second with $50.2 million. And “Trainwreck” debuted in third with an estimated $30.2 million, which is way above original studio estimates. They didn’t expect Amy Schumer’s movie to break $20 million, so this is a huge win for her, proving that she can carry a movie.

So you pop into a bar on the Jersey Shore Saturday night, just hoping to grab a couple of beers and listen to this band called Joe Gruschecky and the Houserockers. No big deal…..until Bruce Springsteen jumps on stage and performs a 2-hour set with his good buddy Joe Gruschecky!! Simon Cowell is setting Directioners up for the inevitable. Simon says that after their fifth album, One Direction is going to take a break. He told “The Sun,” “In terms of the band, they’ve got enough hits now they can take some time off and do some other stuff they want to do. Then I hope they’ll have a little bit of time apart and want to get back together again. It’s a fun job, but it’s absolutely their decision.”

A tragic accident at Demi Moore’s home in Beverly Hills this weekend. A 21-year-old man who’d been at a pool party at the house was found at the bottom of the pool about 5:15 Sunday morning. Reportedly, he’d been underwater about 15 minutes when his body was discovered. Demi was out of the country when this happened. Reportedly, her assistant was there when the man’s body was found. Demi released a statement saying in part, “I am in absolute shock….The loss of a child is an unthinkable tragedy and my heart goes out to this young man’s family and friends.” One of Demi’s neighbors told TMZ that Demi’s three daughters have been staying at the house and throwing “parties every day, day and night.” But police say none of them were present when the body was found.
