SNL premiere date… Harry Styles encourages voter registration… Cardi B donated $100k… Leonardo DiCaprio & Gigi Hadid seen together… and Demi Lovato says current tour will be her last
Listen to “Showbiz – Sept 14, 2022” on Spreaker.
Season 48 of “Saturday Night Live” premieres on October 1, but it’s going to look verrrrry different. We found out at the end of last season that Kate McKinnon, Aidy Bryant, Kyle Mooney and Pete Davidson were all leaving the show. Then a couple weeks ago, it was announced that Melissa Villaseñor, Alex Moffat, and Aristotle Athari weren’t coming back, either, but it didn’t sound like it was their choice. Lorne Michaels is in the process of hiring new cast members, none of which have been announced yet. By the way, SNL won its sixth straight Emmy for Variety Sketch Series Monday night. Their only competition was HBO’s “A Black Lady Sketch Show.” If you didn’t watch Monday, you were definitely not alone. The Emmys reached a record low audience of 5.9M, down from 7.4M last year.

Cardi B surprised the students by showing up at her old elementary school in the Bronx, and then surprised the school administrators by donating $100K to the school’s arts program. Back when she was known as Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, Cardi went to I.S. 232 in Brooklyn’s Morris Heights neighborhood. Cardi told the kids, “A lot of the teachers were really tough on me because they saw something in me. I was, like, a bad kid, but I was very special to a lot of these teachers and I still got them in my heart.”
Cardi B made a surprise visit to her old elementary school on Tuesday to announce that she would be donating $100,000 to the institution.

We’ve heard the rumors but didn’t have any picture proof….until now. Daily Mail got exclusive photos of Leonardo DiCaprio and Gigi Hadid having an intimate conversation at a party Saturday night at a loft in Soho. But sources say neither one of them is looking for anything serious and they’re taking things real slow. The two of them have mostly been hanging out in groups, but they have had a couple of solo outings….or so we hear. No photos of that yet.

Demi Lovato kicked off the sixth tour of her career on August 30, which will take her across North and South America. She’ll wrap things up November 6, just down the street from where she grew up in Irving, Texas. Unfortunately, she’s not having the best time. She’s been sick and it’s affecting her voice. In fact, it’s so bad that in since-deleted Instagram Stories, Demi posted, “I’ so (BLANKING) sick I can’t get out of bed. I can’t do this anymore. This next tour will be my last. I love and thank you guys.”
Demi Lovato took to Instagram Stories to share that the current tour in support of their album #HOLYFVCK will be their last.https://t.co/rmOeVQsiXi
