Netflix won’t give us the exact numbers but they did give us a list of their most-watched content in 2020. Keep in mind, you only have to watch something for 2 minutes for it to count. They say that’s long enough to show that your choice was “intentional.” So based on that, we spent twice as much time watching documentaries, docuseries and reality TV on Netflix this year. As far as the documentaries and docuseries, we spent at least 2 minutes watching “Tiger King,” “Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez,” “American Murder: The Family Next Door,” and “The Social Dilemma.” On the reality TV side, “Floor Is Lava”, “Love Is Blind”, and “Too Hot To Handle” were the most popular. The most popular comedies were “Hubie Halloween,” “The Wrong Missy,” “Space Force,” “Holidate,” and “Kevin Hart” Zero (BLANKS) Given.” The most popular food and home shows? “Get Organized with The Home Edit,” “Nailed It!,” “Million Dollar Beach House,” “The American Barbecue Showdown,” and “Crazy Delicious.”

Dolly Parton saved the life of a 9-year-old actress who wasn’t paying attention on a movie set. Talia Hill is a 9-year-old actress and dancer who was cast in Dolly’s Netflix movie, “Christmas on the Square,” in which Dolly plays an angel. Talia told Inside Edition, “We were on set, and I was at the hot chocolate station, and they said go back to your beginning positions. So there was a vehicle moving, and I was walking, and then somebody grabbed me and pulled me back, and I looked up and it was Dolly Parton.” Talia said she was in shock when she realized it was Dolly, who told her, “Well, I AM an angel, you know.” And rather than say, “Aw, shucks…it was nothing…” Dolly hugged Talia and shook her and told her, “I saved your life!”

This week, Tiffany Haddish said she turned down a gig hosting a 3-hour pre-Grammys telecast because they weren’t going to pay her AND she had to hire her own glam squad. Well, this was news to the Recording Academy’s Interim Chief Harvey Mason, Jr.! He said he wasn’t aware Tiffany had even been asked to do this and blamed a talent booker for saying there was no money in it for her. Harvey released a statement saying he publicly and privately apologized to Tiffany.

Things are getting ugly in Kelly Clarkson’s divorce. Kelly and Brandon Blackstock were married for 7 years but she was managed by Brandon and his dad’s Starstruck Management for 13. Now Kelly and Brandon are suing each other over unpaid management fees. Back in September, Starstruck sued Kelly for $1.4M in unpaid commissions. This week, Kelly filed legal papers claiming Brandon defrauded her by charging exorbitant fees, and she wants all of that money back. No word on how much that is. They’ll have to go through 13 years of accounting to find out.

If you subscribe to Disney+, you’ll pay a dollar more in March, bringing your monthly fee up to $7.99. But look at what you’re getting! Disney has announced a TON of new projects, including 10 new “Star Wars” series and 10 new Marvel series, which will trickle out over the next few years. Hayden Christensen will return to play Darth Vader in Ewan McGregor’s previously announced “Obi-Wan” series and Donald Glover is back as Lando Calrissian for a new series called “Lando.” There are also TWO “Mandalorian” spin-offs! In non-Star Wars related content……Zac Efron’s “Three Men and a Baby” will be on Disney+ in 2022. That same year, from the creator of “black-ish” we get a new version of “Cheaper by the Dozen” featuring a blended family and starring Gabrielle Union.
