Box office weekend… BTS fans… A new Why Don’t We baby… Cardi B’s Mother’s Day gift… and Drama between YouTuber James Charles & Tati
“Avengers: Endgame” is still number one after 3 weeks, earning another $63.1 million over the weekend. But Ryan Reynolds earned huge bragging rights! His new movie “Pokémon: Detective Pikachu” came in second with $58 million, making it the biggest opening weekend ever for a movie about a video game. The old record was held by “Tomb Raider” which opened with $47 million back in 2001. Coming in third place was Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson’s new movie, “The Hustle” with $13.5 million.

As one wet BTS fan told Page Six, “If you really want something, nothing gets in the way of you having it.” Eighteen-year-old Milka Galarza is a sophomore at Berkeley and she says she’s seen BTS about 80 times since 2013. Milka was one of the couple dozen people getting soaked yesterday on the Fifth Avenue sidewalk near Central Park. These fans have been camping out there since this past Wednesday because THIS Wednesday, BTS is kicking off the Good Morning America Summer Concert Series with a free concert in Central Park. Tickets for that are long gone.

Why Don’t We …. use a condom?? In honor of Mother’s Day, 19-year-old Jack Avery of Why Don’t We and his 17-year-old Instagram influencer girlfriend Gabriela Gonzalez introduced us to their new daughter on Instagram yesterday. Lavender May was born on April 22. All of their family dressed in shades of light purple for the first official family photo. Jack wrote a long caption that said in part, “This has been the most humbling experience of my entire life. It has forever changed my life in the best way possible. Today is a very special day though. Gabriela, (my angel) is the most selfless person I have ever met in my life. She is the one that keeps me going and makes me work harder for my dreams every single day. I am so blessed to be able to call her the mother of our child and the woman I get to come home to every night.”

A couple weeks ago, Cardi B told reporters in LA that she was very sad because she was booked to perform in Columbia, SC, on May 12 — her FIRST Mother’s Day! Cardi thought she’d be spending the holiday without her daughter, but Offset surprised her by bringing 10-month-old Kulture to SC. She posted about it on Instagram, saying, “I’m not saying I got the best husband ever, but I really got the best husband ever.” And for her first Mother’s Day, Offset gave his baby mama a couple of Birkin bags and a diamond watch. No word yet on what he gave his 3 other baby mamas…..
At the beginning of the week, he was living it up at the Met Gala. By the end of the week, he was posting a red, puffy-faced video begging his mentor to forgive him. When 19-year-old beauty blogger James Charles woke up Friday morning, he had around 16 million subscribers. As of this morning, he’s lost more than 2 million subscribers and those numbers are still falling hard. So what happened?? About a month ago, James posted an IG Story thanking a gummy hair vitamin company for helping him and his friends out at Coachella and then promoted their sleep aid gummies. That company happens to be the number one competitor of his mentor Tati’s hair supplement company. A tearful Tati posted an IG Story saying how she felt lost and betrayed. Tati didn’t call him by name, but she unfollowed James on everything and he later posted an apology statement on his IG Story. But when one of James’ friends lashed out at her for crying over gummies, that did it. Tati posted a 43-minute video titled “Bye Sister” explaining why she is severing all ties with James. Tati showed proof of how she’s always promoted James and got nothing in return. She says she helped him financially, giving him cash and helping him negotiate huge contracts. But Tati says James used his money and his fame to target straight men, accusing him of “manipulating peopole’s sexuality.” James posted an apology and has now gone into hiding as his YouTube channel continues its free fall. Tati’s numbers, however, are going through the roof. Team Tati!
