Fashion Designer Kate Spade Found Dead In Apparent Suicide

Miss America says bye bye to bikinis… Katy Perry’s assistant is a ‘hero’… Jared Leto’s Joker gets a movie… Kendall Jenner kissing Gigi & Bella Hadid’s brother… and Fashion designer Kate Spade found dead in apparent suicide

The pageant world has been rocked! Miss America is getting rid of the swimsuit and evening gown competitions and they are no longer judging women on physical appearance!! Gretchen Carlson is a former Miss America and is now chair of the Board of Trustees for the Miss America Organization. She explained, “We’ve heard from a lot of young women who say, ‘We’d love to be a part of your program but we don’t want to be out there in high heels and a swimsuit.’ So guess what! You don’t have to do that anymore. Who doesn’t want to be empowered, learn leadership skills and pay for college and be able to show the world who you are as a person from the inside of your soul. That’s what we’re judging them on now.” So instead of the swimsuit competition, Miss America contestants will do a live Q&A with the judges, which will allow these women to demonstrate their intelligence and talk about their passions. And instead of an evening gown, the women can wear whatever makes them feel confident, shows off their personal style and shows how they hope to advance the role of Miss America. We’ll see how this works out when the 2019 Miss America Competition airs live on ABC on Sunday, September 9.

Katy Perry’s assistant is a hero! A few days ago, Katy’s teacup poodle Nugget fell off the bed and was unresponsive. Katy’s assistant Tamra performed puppy CPR and blew into its little mouth for about 3 minutes and brought her back to life! Katy asked Tamra where she learned how to do that, and she said she learned it from watching a viral video where a guy resuscitates a squirrel that had been electrocuted.

Do you feel like there wasn’t enough Joker in “Suicide Squad”? Jared Leto agrees! And now Jared’s Joker could be getting his own movie. The Hollywood Reporter says Warner Bros. is in the early stages of developing the project and they’ve asked some writers to take a stab at a script. If this actually movie actually happens, Jared would star in and executive produce it. Warner Bros. is already developing a Joker origins movie, which would potentially star Joaquin Phoenix. And they’re also developing several projects that would star or feature Harley Quinn, who is played by Margot Robbie. One of those projects is a movie featuring the Joker and Harley Quinn. The next three DC movies we have to look forward to are “Aquaman” in December, “Shazam!” in April of next year, followed by “Wonder Woman 2” in November.

Kendall Jenner was riding bikes with an NBA player one day and making out with Bella and Gigi Hadid’s little brother the next! Kendall was at a CFDA Awards after-party in NYC early Tuesday morning and somebody violated her privacy and videoed her straddling and making out with Anwar Hadid. Sources say they were going at it for about two yours before she ended up heading back to her hotel by herself around 4am. Anwar broke up with his most recent girlfriend about a month ago, but the day before she was swapping spit with Anwar, Kendall was riding bikes in LA with Ben Simmons.

When someone commits suicide, everyone looks for the why. Kate Spade committed suicide by hanging. Her housekeeper found her body yesterday. Kate’s sister said was wasn’t surprised. She said Kate suffered from bipolar disorder and that she had tried to get Kate into treatment several times, only to have her “chicken out” because she was afraid people would find out. The sister said Kate’s husband, Andy Spade, also tried to get his wife some help, but she just wouldn’t listen. Reportedly, Kate became even more depressed after Andy asked for a divorce and he moved out of their shared home and into one of their other apartments nearby. Kate did leave behind a suicide note, which I’m surprised was released….or leaked. It was to her 13-year-old daughter, Frances Beatrix, “Bea – I have always loved you. This is not your fault. Ask Daddy!”

If you need someone to talk to, the National Suicide Prevention Hotline is available 24 hours a day. Just call 1-800-273-8255. And you can also text for help at 741741.
