MTV Movie & TV Awards were announced… Christina Aguilera’s new music… Gigi Hadid controversial magazine cover… Rihanna talks about Drake… and G-Eazy arrested for assault and cocaine possession

The nominees for the MTV Movie & TV Awards were announced yesterday. “Black Panther” has the most nominations with seven. It’s up for Best Movie, along with “Wonder Woman,” “Girls Trip,” “It,” and “Avengers: Infinity War.” Best TV Show nominees are “13 Reasons Why,” “Game of Thrones,” “Grown-ish,” “Riverdale,” and “Stranger Things.” Tiffany Haddish is not only hosting, she’s nominated for “Scene Stealer” for her role in “Girls Trip.” And we get to watch it all go down on June 18.

Christina Aguilera is out with new music, FINALLY. She dropped her new single “Accelerate” with Ty Dolla $ign and 2 Chainz yesterday and yes, it was produced by Kanye. She told Billboard, “I’ve always been a huge fan of Kanye. Outside of, you know, his controversial aspects, I just think he’s a great artist and music maker and beat maker.” So there! Billboard also asked Christina about her five seasons on “The Voice” and it sounds like she absolutely hated it! She said the show became something she didn’t sign up for and realized very quickly “it’s not about the music. It’s about making good TV moments and massaging a story.” She said the show was an “energy sucker” that left her “longing for freedom.” So no, she won’t be back. By the way, the reporter for Billboard said that Christina had her driver haul them around the neighborhood to listen to her new album because she doesn’t have a driver’s license. She explained that she’s terrified of people with road rage and was successful enough at a young age to just hire a driver. Her album “Liberation” is out June 15.

If a supermodel is hired for a magazine cover shoot, why do they change her looks so much that she’s barely recognizable. Not only will you NOT recognize Gigi Hadid on the cover of Vogue Italia, her skin is so heavily bronzed that she’s being accused of wearing blackface. Gigi WAS super excited about the cover, posting it on her Instagram saying how “excited, honored, and grateful” she was to be on the magazine’s May issue. But after the immediate backlash, she deleted the photo and then tried to explain and semi-apologize in an IG Story. She said, “Please understand that my control of a shoot 1. is non existent in terms of creative direction. 2. ends completely when I leave set, and anything done to a photo in post is out of my control fully….” She went on to say to those who were offended by the “editing/retouching/coloring of the cover,” “Please know that things would have been different if my control of the situation was different. Regardless, I want to apologize because my intention is never to diminish those concerns or take opportunities away from anyone else, and I hope this can be an example to other magazines and teams in the future.”

Rihanna is on the cover of the US version of “Vogue” out May 22, and in the accompanying article, when the reporter asked her what was up with her and Drake, she winced at the mere mention of his name. Rihanna then made it clear that whatever WAS there is done. She said, “We don’t have a friendship now, but we’re not enemies. It is what it is.” She is very into her billionaire boyfriend Hassan Jameel. BUT! If she had stuck it out with Drake, Rihanna would have herself a very large collection of Birkins. Drake told the Hollywood Reporter the he collects Birkins for his future wife. And speaking of Drake, he got his hand slapped by the NBA after getting into it with Cavaliers center Kendrick Perkins during Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals Tuesday. Drake and Kendrick started mouthing off at each during halftime and Kendrick told Drake to “sit your a** down and watch the game.” Things got more heated after the game and there was a little vulgar name-calling on Drake’s part. The NBA issued Drake a warning, as did the Toronto Raptors, who happen to employ Drake as their global ambassador.

G-Eazy was arrested in Sweden after allegedly attacking security guards and having cocaine in his pants. After performing in Stockholm, G-Eazy, his girlfriend Halsey and their buddy Sean Kingston all went to a club for the after-party. Everybody says he was in a good mood, drinking and dancing and posing for photos. After a couple of hours, they decided to hit up another club and that’s when G-Eazy got into a fight with the bouncers. When police showed up to arrest him, they found cocaine in his pocket. He goes before a judge today.
