George R.R. Martin Shared His Thoughts On The GOT Finale

Johnny Depp is suing his ex-wife… Ciara is going to Harvard… Oprah won’t let it slide… Kanye West has found his calling… and George R.R. Martin has a shared his thoughts on GOT

Johnny Depp is suing his ex-wife Amber Heard for defamation. She wrote an article for the Washington Post back in December and called herself “a public figure representing domestic abuse,” obviously referring to her relationship with Johnny. He wants $50 million in damages. In his lawsuit, Johnny said there actually was an abuser in their relationship…Amber! He said it would happen when she mixed prescription amphetamines and non-prescription drugs with alcohol, and that she often abused him in the presence of witnesses. And Johnny said that when Amber went to court to get a temporary restraining order against him, she walked in with bruises painted on her face. He also included several photos of the injuries he claims to have received because of Amber’s abuse. The lawsuit goes on and on, but in it, Johnny admits what finally tipped him over the edge and had him file for divorce. He said, “After I removed myself from Ms. Heard’s presence in the penthouse on April 21, 2016, the following morning Ms. Heard or one of her friends defecated in my bed as some sort of a sick prank before they left for Coachella together.” Johnny claims Amber admitted to their estate manager that the poo was “just a harmless prank.”

Wearing her new Harvard sweater, Ciara announced on Instagram yesterday to announce she’s been accepted to Harvard University’s Business of Entertainment, Media and Sports Program. And unlike Black Chyna’s situation, this isn’t a scam and she’s legitimately enrolled. In her announcement, Ciara said, “I always dreamt of going to college, but by God’s grace, my music career took me on a path that I’m so thankful for. This week I got accepted into Harvard! Words cannot describe my excitement!” She added #WhyNotHER. Love that! Ciara recently launched her own company — Beauty Marks Entertainment. Her Harvard education will definitely help her with that. Some of the class’ case studies include Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, the musical “Hamilton”, the licensing deal between Netflix and “House of Cards”, and The Walt Disney Studios. Ciara has to cram a lot of education in real quick. The program is only four days long and costs $10,000. She starts next Wednesday.

Oprah was invited to be the commencement speaker at the University of Colorado this weekend. I’m sure after hearing that billionaire Robert F. Smith paid off all the student loans for the graduating class at Morehouse, those graduates were wondering how Oprah was going to top that. Oprah posted a photo of a very excited graduate and captioned it, “I shook hands with all 571 members of @coloradocollege’s Class of 2019 and gave them a copy of The Path Made Clear.” One of her followers commented, “Should have paid off their student debt.” Oprah wasn’t going to let that slide. She wrote back, “already paid 13m in scholarships. Have put over 400 men through Morehouse.”

Kim Kardashian has found her life’s calling — helping inmates sentenced to umpteen years in prison out early. Now Radar Online says Kanye West has found his calling — spreading the gospel. Their source says, “He has always been a man of faith, but he has taken it to a whole new level now.” The source said Kanye is going to be ordained as a minister. This source added, “Kanye thinks that he may have been Jesus in a past life and he has Kim convinced she was the Virgin Mary.”

George R.R. Martin has a blog and he shared his thoughts about the controversial ending of “Game of Thrones.” George praised the cast and crew and the much-maligned show runners, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. George reminds us that while he works in a very different medium than these guys. David and D.B. were limited to six hours for the final season while he can write as much as he wants. Speaking of that, when are those last two books coming, Mr. Martin? George said, “I expect these last two books of mine will fill 3000 manuscript pages between them before I’m done. And if more pages and chapters and scenes are needed, I’ll add them.” He wrote, “Winter is coming, I told you, long ago… and so it is. THE WINDS OF WINTER is very late, I know, I know, but it will be done. I won’t say when, I’ve tried that before, only to burn you all and jinx myself… but I will finish it, and then will come A DREAM OF SPRING.” And will the ending of his books be different than the ending of “GOT”? George wrote, “How will it all end? I hear people asking. The same ending as the show? Different? Well… yes. And no. And yes. And no. And yes. And no. And yes.”
