Grimes Sues Elon Musk Over Parental Rights

If you waited a few days to catch the premiere of “The Golden Bachelor,” you are not alone. Based on the way we watch TV now, they look at 3-day ratings to judge the success of a show. It’s called Live+3. Well, the premiere of “The Golden Bachelor” killed it! After an initial 4.36M viewers on Thursday night, the 3-day total hit 7.7M — a 3-year high in total viewers across multiple platforms, including Hulu. The show opened with Gerry explaining that he’d married his high school sweetheart Toni and they enjoyed 43 years of marriage. They were looking forward to spending their golden years together, but Toni contracted a bacterial infection. Through tears, Gerry said, “I took my wife to the emergency room on July 7th and she passed away July 15th.” But six years later, Gerry’s heart has healed sufficiently and he’s ready to find the second love of his life! NOBODY was having more fun than 72-year-old Gerry meeting 22 neat, neat ladies who were all there for HIM. Make that 23 neat, neat ladies because Jimmy Kimmel pulled some strings to get his Aunt Chippy on the show. Gerry was truly having the time of his life…until it came time for his first rose ceremony. Gerry had been dreading that moment for months, but a Bachelor’s gotta do what a Bachelor’s gotta do, and he ended up sending 6 women home. Aunt Chippy slept through the ceremony, so Gerry is actually down 7. And tomorrow night, we’ll all be watching as Gerry courts his Sweet 16!

Britney Spears has flown off somewhere tropical with five guys I don’t recognize. She posted a video from the private plane, with “Fall In Love” by Icona Pop playing underneath. She captioned it, “Riding ‘n writing !!! All I’m doing at the moment … volume 2 coming after 1 !!! #TheWomanInMe.” After they landed, Britney posted a video of her riding on horseback with the sun shining in her face and the wind blowing through her weave. Britney’s memoir “The Woman in Me” comes out Oct. 24. After she’d sent in her final FINAL edits, Sam Asghari filed for divorce, so none of that will be in this book. We have to assume that’s what Part 2 will be about. Simon & Schuster paid her $15M to write her first one — by the way, Sam won’t see a penny of that thanks to her iron-clad prenup. What would they be willing to pay for her second tell-all. And what would it be worth to get Sam to write HIS??

Why am I making this a competition? But a quick google search of “How much has Beyonce earned off her Renaissance Tour?” gave me an answer of $579M. A quick search of “How much has Taylor Swift earned from her Eras Tour?” said it’s over $1B. But unlike Beyonce’s tour, Taylor’s isn’t over yet! Next up, it’s the concert movie battle. After Taylor announced she’s putting her Eras Tour in theaters, Beyonce did the same. Taylor’s comes out Oct. 13 and Beyonce’s on Dec. 1. Deadline reported that as of yesterday, AMC, Regal and Cinemark reported that Beyonce’s pre-sale numbers had already reached between $6M-$7M. FIRST DAY presales for Taylor’s concert film were $37M, with $26M coming from AMC alone. Her presale numbers are now $65M, and experts are predicting profits exceeding $100M by opening day. Deadline also reported that Taylor’s first-day presale movie tickets outsold Beyonce’s first-day sales 7-to-1.

According to The Post, attorneys for Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner told the judge handling their divorce proceedings that the two of them will being four days of mediation starting today. The judge then set their trial date for Jan. 2, which is a win for Joe. He’s on tour through Dec. 9 and wanted the trial date set for next year. Sophie was hoping for something sooner because she has work commitments in England in January. Joe and Sophie are now hoping to resolve many of their issues in mediation, including a parenting plan for 3-year-old Willa and 1-year-old Delphine. Joe wants 50/50 custody, but Sophie wants to raise their daughters in England. She said they had both agreed to make England their “forever home,” which is why they sold their home in Miami, but then Joe pulled the rug out from under her when he filed for divorce. On top of that, he refused to hand over their daughters’ passports so she could return to England with them.

We already knew that Elon Musk shared two children with Grimes. But in Walter Isaacson’s recent “Elon Musk” biography, we learned they recently had a third baby — a little boy named Techno Mechanics, nicknamed Tau. Almost simultaneously, Elon welcomed twins with executive Shvon Zitis, who are now 19-months-old. Just a few days ago, Grimes tweeted to the biographer, “Tell Shivon to unblock me and tell Elon to let me see my son or plz respond to my lawyer.” I guess that didn’t happen and she has now filed a petition to establish parental rights. The filing is sealed, but “Vulture” has learned that at this point, Grimes has not asked for custody rights or child support. Elon hasn’t responded yet. But it looks like Grimes and Shivon came to some sort of understanding. She tweeted a couple weeks ago, “I spoke with Shivon at length finally, which was long overdue. This wasn’t her fault, plz don’t be angry at her! We respect each other a lot and we’re excited to become friends and have the kids grow up together. Women are so often pitted against each other. Speaking with Shivon, it’s very evident she’s an amazing human and we both just want what’s best for our kids.”
