Tom Brady believes in women’s sports! So much so, he’s now acquired an ownership interest in the defending WNBA champions, the Las Vegas Aces. Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis bought the Aces before the start of the 2021 season. He released a statement saying, “Since I purchased the Aces, our goal has been to win on and off the court. Tom Brady is a win not only for the Aces, and the WNBA, but for women’s professional sports as a whole.” Of course, the WNBA still has to approve, but why would they say no? Tom released a video saying, “My love for women’s sports began at a young age when I would tag along to all my older sister’ games. They were by far the best athletes in our house!” Tom’s sister Maureen made the US Junior Olympic team as a pitcher when she was just 17. Her daughter now plays softball for UCLA. Tom’s sister Nancy earned a softball scholarship at UC Berkeley and his other sister Julie had a soccer scholarship at Saint Mary’s.

Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly have put their relationship on pause. No more drinking each other’s blood, for now at least. A source told “Us Weekly” that Megan and MGK are “very hot and cold.” And the source said the relationship is “pretty volatile at the moment.” The wedding plans are on hold while they work through some issues, but the source said they do still text each other. A separate source told “People” these two aren’t going to make it. The source said, “They’re not completely done. They’re still trying to sort through things, but most of their friends think it is likely over. They’re just not ready to totally call it yet.”

John Mayer’s fans were shocked to hear him perform “Half of My Heart” during a concert this week. Why was this so shocking? John and Taylor collaborated on this song and their duet was part of his 2009 album “Battle Studies.” Since Taylor’s been re-recording her music over the past couple years, all of her past relationships are being publicly dissected once again, and John isn’t coming off very well. When they were together for a hot minute, John was 31 and Taylor was 19. But this relationship completely rocked Taylor’s world. In 2010, she wasn’t subtle in the least when she released “Dear John.” It included the line, “Don’t you think 19 is too young?” John said it was a “really lousy thing” for Taylor to write about their relationship and that “Dear John” was “cheap songwriting.” He was way more subtle in his 2013 song “Paper Doll” singing, “You’re like 22 girls in one/ And none of them know what they’re running from.” That’s obviously a reference to Taylor’s song “22.” Now with Taylor’s “Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve” from her “Midnights” album, Taylor still isn’t over it, singing, “I damn sure never would’ve danced with the devil at 19” and “I regret you all the time.”

Shakira and Gerard Piqué were together for 11 years until she caught him cheating with a much younger woman. They announced their breakup last June and Shakira has been getting it all out of her system ever since. Gerard is finally speaking about the breakup, telling “El Pais” that his main priority right now is their sons, 10-year-old Milan and 8-year-old Sasha. Translated, Gerard said, “Everyone has their responsibility to do what’s best for their kids. It’s about protecting them. That’s the job of all parents with their kids. That’s what I’m focused on and that’s my role as a father.” Does Gerard feel any remorse for blindsiding Shakira and breaking up their family? Doesn’t sound like it. He said, “I keep doing what I want. The day I die, I will look back and hope I have always done what I wanted. I want to be faithful to myself.” And forget about hiring a crisis management firm to make make him look good. He said, “I’m not going to spend money cleaning up my image. The people that I love and care about are the ones who know me. The rest isn’t important to me. I spend my energy on being with my loved ones and giving them what I have. I’m very happy. There have been changes in my life and I have known how to preserve happiness.”

Gwyneth Paltrow is being sued for slamming into an older gentleman on a ski slope back in 2019. The now 76-year-old Terry Sanderson claims Gwyneth was skiing like a maniac when she hit him and then just left him lying there, knocked out with broken ribs. He wanted $3.1M in damages but a judge said he legally couldn’t sue for that, so Sanderson dropped it to $300K. Gwyneth said she’s innocent and she’s countersuing for her attorney fees and $1. Gwyneth is expected to testify today, but what happened in court yesterday is what has everybody talking. Before yesterday’s testimony, Gwyneth’s attorney address the court, asking if her private security could bring some treats for the bailiffs who have been so helpful this week. Sanderson’s lawyer objected so the judge ruled, “Thank you, but no thank you.” He did add, “If the parties decide to do that later, that’s fine, too.” I’m sure the judge is hoping they’ll bring a treat for him, too!
