Kardashians struggle in Cuba… Demi Lovato’s Twitter rant… 50 Cent issued a statement… Arsenio Hall filed a defamation lawsuit… and Have Rihanna and Drake been secretly dating?
The Kardashians are in Cuba filming their reality show and they are struggling. A source told Page Six that the sisters love the culture, but the weak internet connections are ruining EVERYTHING. The source says, “They’ve had an issue every two seconds about not having Internet. They complained they couldn’t get on Snapchat. They’re frustrated and they can’t wait to leave.” But when they can get a connection strong enough to post something, it’s only getting them into trouble. Khloe posted a picture of herself standing under a wall that got everybody riled up. She looked AWESOME, but she was standing underneath the name of Fidel Castro. That did’t go over so well. And in addition to all that, they’re having problems getting the locals to sign release forms because nobody knows who the Kardashians are.
In the wee hours of the morning when she should’ve been getting some sleep, Demi Lovato went on a bit of a Twitter rant that she’s partially blaming on being bipolar. We don’t know for sure what set Demi off this time, but it could be that whole red carpet incident at the Met Gala when Nicki Minaj cast some shade her way. It could’ve been that she didn’t like the backlash she got from her interview with “Latina” magazine where she said her boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama is more passionate than her previous white boyfriends. Who knows….But she went on a twitter rant and then explained, “Maybe my midnight rants are a part of my bipolar disorder. Can’t change being crazy.. But you can press unfollow. Or maybe I rant online because people assume they know things and their entitlement to know makes me feel obligated to defend myself.” Then she tried to shame internet bullies, asking them how they’d feel if the grandparents found out they spent their free time cyber bullying strangers. She ended her rant with, “I’d rather annoy people with my honesty and loud opinions than stay silent and be fake as f***. #lasttweetofthenight #goingtosleep.”
Earlier this week, 50 Cent posted a video where he mocks a teenager working as an airport janitor who turned out to suffer from severe hearing loss and Asperger’s Syndrome. The family was extremely upset and asked 50 to apologize and make a donation to Autism Speaks. And that’s exactly what 50 did. He issued a statement saying, “I want to turn this misunderstanding into an understanding. There are people that are ignored, mistreated and neglected with disabilities that need our support. Today, I have made a donation of $100,000 to this worthy cause through Autism Speaks.” He also encouraged his “fellow musicians, actors, entertainers and all others who may not have fully considered this cause to join together to help in any way they can.”
You didn’t think Arsenio Hall was going to take Sinead O’Connor’s Facebook comments about him being Prince’s drug dealer for the past couple decades lying down, did you? Arsenio has filed a $5 million defamation lawsuit against Sinead, saying she’s a “desperate, attention-seeker now known perhaps as much for her bizarre, unhinged internet rants as for her music.” Arsenio also says that even though she recorded Prince’s song “Nothing Compares 2 U,” she only met him a couple of times. And Arsenio says he hasn’t had any contact with Sinead in 25 years. But her accusations are “extraordinarily damaging” to his reputation, and he wants to get PAID.
Drake keeps popping up here and there on Rihanna’s tour, which has a lot of people wondering what’s going on between these two. A source told “People” magazine that they’ve actually been dating secretly for months. But another source told Page Six that it’s all hype for record and ticket sales. The source said, “They are not romantic at all. They’ve always been great friends.” Another source said, “If you ask her, she says she’s single. They do these shows together, and every time he goes to her show and performs, people start saying they’re dating.”
