Just another example of how next-to-impossible it is to pull off a surprise party….Kaley Cuoco is 33 today and yesterday, the people on the set of her show “Big Bang Theory” were going to throw a little surprise party for her. Jim Parsons posted a picture of Kaley’s birthday cake online and captioned it “almost time, @kaleycuoco … shhhhh…” It’s be one thing MAYBE if he’d just posted it for his 6.5 million followers, but he freaking TAGGED her on it?? What was THAT?!! Then he posted a picture of a very disappointed looking Kaley holding up her phone showing Jim’s post, and he captioned it, “oops @kaleycuoco.”
Awkwafina’s career is on fire right now. After her scene-stealing role in “Crazy Rich Asians,” Awkwafina has signed a deal with Comedy Central to create a show based on her life. There will be 10 half-hour episodes that follow Awkwafina’s life in her early 20s, living in Queens with her dad and grandmother while also living in the shadow of her successful cousin. “Mr. Robot” star B.D. Wong will play her dad, “Orange is the New Black” star Lori Tan Chinn is the grandma, and Bowen Yang from “The Outs” will play the successful cousin.

Blac Chyna will finally face the Kardashian-Jenners in court. For over a year, she’s been trying to sue Rob, Kris, Kim, Khloe and Kylie. He lawyer Lisa Bloom claims Chyna was “slut shamed, defamed and the victim of a plot to kill her hit show, ‘Rob and Chyna,’ causing her significant financial damages.” Chyna is suing for assault, battery, domestic violence, harassment, defamation and interference with prospective economic relations. She claims she suffered “significant damages” after Rob did that whole revenge porn post. But the Kardashians say they had nothing to do with “Rob and Chyna” being canceled. That happened when she filed a restraining order against Rob because — duh — how can they film a show when they can’t be near each other? So now the lawyers will be in court on Jan. 7 to set a date for this case to go to trial.

Nicki Minaj can’t stop poking the hornet’s nest. In her new video for “Good Form,” she hired the two strip club bartenders — Baddie Gi and Jade — who are suing Cardi B, claiming that she ordered an attack on them because she believed Jade slept with her man, Offset. Not only that, when Baddie and Jade posted screenshots of their scene on Instagram, Nicki responded with heart and kissy face emojis.

Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra will be man and wife before the weekend is over. We’ve heard a lot of details about their relationship timeline from everyone else but them…..until now! Priyanka is on the cover of the January issue of “Vogue” and they both took part in the interview. Nick says the first time he met Priyanka was at the Vanity Fair Oscars party. He said he was at the bar when he saw her breeze across the room, “and I put my drink down, get on one knee — this is in front of a bunch of people — and I say, ‘You’re real. Where have you been all my life?” But Nick asked for a first date on a DM, to which Priyanka responded, “My team can read this. why don’t you just text me.” And it was after their third date to a Dodgers game that Nick says he called his mom and said Priyanka was the woman he was going to marry. You can read about the proposal when the issue hits stands on Dec. 18.
