Ricky Schroder was arrested… Lala & Randall have set a wedding date… Maybe Blake Shelton & Gwen Stefani have too… The Billboard Music Awards… and Joe Jonas & Sophie Turner got married
WHAT is going on with Ricky Schroder?? He was arrested for felony domestic violence at almost 3am Wednesday, and it’s the second time he was arrested on that same charge in less than a month. According to TMZ, police spoke with Ricky and his unidentified girlfriend, who refused medical treatment. This is basically a repeat of what happened on April 2. Police were also called out to the same house in the wee hours of the morning. In that instance, the girlfriend told police that Ricky punched her in the face when she tried to leave. In both arrests, bail was set at $50K.

Lala Kent deleted all but one of the photos of her and her fiancé Randall Emmett from her Instagram. A lot of people read into that. Was their engagement in jeopardy? If that was the case, on the same day she deleted all those pictures, why would she be laughing and looking all happy with Randall in a picture he posted on his IG? A friend says Lala was just doing a bit of spring cleaning on her social page. No big deal. And then last night, Lala announced on her IG Story that she and Randall have set a wedding date — April 18, 2020.

Are we one step closer to a wedding for Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani? They’ve been dating for 3 1/2 years now, but it seems like we’re more anxious about it than they are. In fact, Ellen DeGeneres is doing what she can to push Blake over the edge and drop down on one knee. When Jennifer Lopez was on her show, she gave her a clock as a hint to Alex Rodriguez to pop the question. Shortly after that, ARod proposed! So when Blake was her guest Wednesday, Ellen gave Blake a huge clock with a picture of him and Gwen having a sweet smooch. Maybe that will do the trick! On top of that, OK! Magazine is reporting that Blake asked Gwen’s parents for permission to marry their daughter, which they granted, of course!

Kelly Clarkson hosted the Billboard Music Awards last night. From Taylor Swift and Brendon Urie opening the show to Paula Abdul closing it, the performances were pretty on point! But Taylor is getting some grief from Beyonce’s fans who are accusing her of ripping off the marching band idea from last year’s Coachella performance. I guess they forgot that pretty much every artist ever — including Madonna and Kanye — used marching bands before Beyonce did. But Taylor has been bumped to number two on the most BMA wins. After picking up 12 more awards last night, Drake now holds the record with 27. Taylor has 23.

Surprise! Right after the Billboard Music Awards, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner headed to the Little White Wedding Chapel to get married! Lucky for us, Diplo posted it on his Instagram Story. The two of them got their marriage license earlier in the day, so it wasn’t a total spur-of-the-moment decision. Joe and his brothers wore matching grey suits (but where was Bonus Jonas Frankie?) and Sophie wore a white spaghetti-strap top with white pants and a white bridal veil (and where was Maisie Williams? Wasn’t she supposed to be Sophie’s maid of honor?) Dan + Shay sang “Speechless” as Sophie walked down the aisle. Khalid was among the handful of guests there to witness it all. An Elvis impersonator performed the ceremony, which was short and sweet. And the couple exchanged Ring Pops instead of wedding bands. Earlier this year, Joe said he and Sophie were planning a summer wedding in Paris. No word on if they’re going through with that now.
