Bebe Rexha’s dad threw a fit for her dressing like a stripper in a music video, but he would’ve popped a vein if she’d landed that role in Jennifer Lopez’s “Hustlers” movie. Bebe told Beats 1 that she was asked to audition for the part of a Russian stripper from New York. She even hired an acting coach. Bebe misspoke when she said the part ended up going to Cardi B. She quickly clarified, “It didn’t go to Cardi, no, she didn’t have that spot. It was a different girl, the blonde girl.” And that blonde girl is Lili Reinhart, who plays Betty on “Riverdale.”

You would think celebrities would be a little hesitant to brag about their kids getting accepted into prestigious universities right now, but not Kimora Lee Simmons! Her 16-year-old daughter Aoki was just accepted into Harvard and she posted a video of the big moment when she and her family found out. Kimora added a comment, “thank god you got in your own honey cause you can’t row.” Yes, Kimora and Russell Simmons daughter earned her way into Harvard. If you just go to her Instagram, you’ll see how passionate she is about her education. She even asked her followers to help her get accepted into Yale and posted pictures of her touring the campus with her mom.

Matthew McConaughey’s movie “The Beach Bum” comes out today. They smoke a lot of weed in the movie, but it’s up to us to figure out when it’s prop weed and when it’s the real stuff. Matthew and Snoop Dogg were on Jimmy Kimmel and said Snoop wasn’t about that fake oregano stuff, so he secretly switched out for legit marijuana. During this one scene where their passing a blunt back and forth, Matthew didn’t realize until after it was over and said, “Man, I’m not sure that was a prop.” Snoop looked at him and said, “Yo, Moondog. That wasn’t prop weed, that was Snoop weed.” Matthew said when it all kicked in, he didn’t speak another word of English for the rest of the night and couldn’t really catch his breath until 5:30 the next afternoon. Snoop said Matthew actually rapped for 13 hours straight.

“The Wendy Williams Show” will be on hiatus next week, but before we start thinking that she needs some time off to deal with her personal life — which she DOES — a spokeswoman for the show said this has been on the books since the fall. So all next week will be reruns, with original episodes beginning again on April 8th. But we all remember how that 2-week hiatus over the holidays ended up becoming 2 months, so a lot of people are wondering if recent history will repeat itself.

The City of Chicago sent Jussie Smollett a letter demanding he pay $130,106.15 to cover the overtime pay for over two dozen detectives and police officers who took part in investigating his false claims of a racist attack. And if he doesn’t pay up in seven days, they will prosecute. But Jussie’s legal team was defiant in their response, saying, “It is the Mayor and the Police Chief who owe Jussie an apology for dragging an innocent man’s character through the mud. Jussie has paid enough.” So….does this mean they’re going to court? Meantime, Jussie is in LA and everyone is wondering if he’s going to show up for the NAACP Image Awards. Jussie is nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his role on “Empire.”
