There was a lot of drama leading up to this moment, but last night was Lea Michele’s debut as the lead in the Broadway revival of “Funny Girl,” and it couldn’t have gone better. This is the role that made Barbra Streisand a star, and Lea — who is a HUGE Barbra fan — has been campaigning to play Fanny Brice for pretty much her entire life. But for whatever reason, the lead role first went to Beanie Feldstein, and things just weren’t clicking. Beanie left her contract early — it was a “You can’t fire me, I quit!” situation — and Lea took her place. The audience was stacked with some of Lea’s biggest fans and supporters, including “Glee” creator Ryan Murphy and Lea’s BFF Jonathan Groff which may be part of the reason Lea got four standing ovations……before intermission! She ultimately got 6 — or 7 — depending on which article you read.

Celebrity baby news! Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo are expecting their third child. She was showing off her baby bump while on vacation in Hawaii with Adam and their two daughters, 5-year-old Dusty Rose and 4-year-old Gio Grace. And Jennifer Lawrence in the October issue of “Vogue” magazine, she finally reveals that way back in February she had a baby boy and his name is Cy. He’s named after one of her husband Cooke Maroney’s favorite artists, Cy Twombly.

There has been so much discussion and dissection over the video of Harry Styles sitting next to — and possibly spitting on — Chris Pine before the screening of their movie “Don’t Worry Darling” at the Venice Film Festival. But a rep for Chris wants all of us to know, “This is a ridiculous story — a complete fabrication and the result of an odd online illusion that is clearly deceiving and allows for foolish speculation. Just to be clear, Harry Styles did not spit on Chris Pine. There is nothing but respect between these two men, and any suggestion otherwise is a blatant attempt to create drama that simply does not exist.” People on the internet still aren’t buying it.

The 74th annual Emmy Awards are this Monday night on NBC or Peacock, if you prefer to stream it. As they always say, “It’s just an honor to be nominated.” But this year, getting nominated is more than just an honor. It’s worth a whopping $70K swag bag! Page Six found out what was inside the bag, which is available to nominees pre-awards ceremony all this weekend. It includes an African Safari valued at $50k, a trip to the Casa de Campo Resort and Villas in the Dominican Republic, which is a favorite of Jay-Z and Beyonce. Rooms START at $1199/night. There’s also a meditation machine, a portable gas infrared grill, cannabis-infused sparkling water, lots of high-end alcohol, thousands of dollars in food, clothes, skin and hair care….And each nominee will also receive an NFT, Hobo Queen Art by river Kinney.

Earlier this year, Justin Bieber postponed several tour dates because he had been diagnosed with something called Ramsay-Hunt Syndrome, which made parts of his face temporarily paralyzed. After a few weeks, the tour resumed. With over 70 dates remaining, Justin has decided to suspend the tour for the time being. He explained on Instagram (in a very irritating font), “Earlier this year, I went public about my battle with Ramsay-Hunt Syndrome, where my face was partly paralyzed. As the result of this illness, I was not able to complete the North America leg of the Justice Tour. After resting and consulting with my doctors, family and team, I went to Europe in an effort to continue with the tour. I performed six live shows, but it took a real tool on me. This past weekend, I performed at Rock in Rio and I gave everything I have to the people in Brazil. After getting off stage, the exhaustion overtook me and I realized that I need to make my health the priority right now. So I’m going to take a break from touring for the time being. i’m going to be ok, but I need time to rest and get better. I’ve been so proud to bring this show and our message of Justice to the world. Thank you for your prayers and support throughout all of this! I love you all passionately!”
