“The Simpsons” was renewed… Dwayne Johnson was first choice… Meghan Markle’s friends talk… Chris Brown goes off on Offset… and Justin Bieber & Hailey Baldwin’s joint interview

FOX has renewed “The Simpsons” for another two seasons, taking it all the way through season 32. And beyond? We’ll see! At the end of this new contract, there will be 713 episodes! “The Simpsons” is the longest-running prime time scripted series in TV history.

Did you assume Kevin Hart was the first choice for the now host-free Oscars? Not so! At least, not according to Dwayne Johnson. Someone tweeted Dwayne about taking the gig after Kevin was out, and he tweeted back! He said, “Ah mahalo dude, I was their first choice to host this year, and my goal was to make it the most fun and entertaining Oscars ever. We all tried hard, but couldn’t make it work since I’m shooting Jumanji. Academy and I were super bummed but maybe one day down the road.” Now THAT would’ve been awesome. The 91st Annual Academy Awards are Feb. 24, live on ABC.

People magazine interviewed five of Meghan Markle’s longtime friends who all feel like Meghan has been unfairly abused in the media. The friends names are not revealed, but they talks about what’s really going on with Meghan and her family. First of all, they said that Thomas Markle keeps going on and on about how he can’t get in touch with his daughter. The friends say that’s absolutely not true because Meghan has never changed her phone number. Also, in the week leading up to the Royal Wedding in May, Thomas decided not to go because he was embarrassed when he was busted for staging those paparazzi photos. One of of the friends said it didn’t matter to Meghan or Prince Harry and they were “still so focused on getting him to London.” At no point was Thomas uninvited. In fact, one of the friends said, “When the car got there to take Thomas to the airport), he wouldn’t get in…Meg heard he had a heart attack and she’s calling and texting, even up to the night before the wedding. It was like, ‘Please pick up. I love you, and I’m scared.’ It was endless.” So after the wedding, they say Meghan wrote her dad a letter. “She’s like, ‘Dad, I’m so heartbroken. I love you. I have one father. Please stop victimizing me through the media so we can repair our relationship.’” But he writes her back and ends the letter by asking for a photo op. Chris Brown jumped on the bandwagon and posted a video of 21 Savage performing but a British rapper’s voice was dubbed over it. Chris captioned it, “Cmon Fam, Stop Playing Wit Da Mans Dem.” Offset commented, “Memes ain’t funny lame.” Well, that did it. Chris went off in all caps, saying things I simply can’t repeat. But my FAVORITE part was this — “If you don’t get yo a hip a hop a hibbet a hibbet to the hip hip hop and ya don’t stop the rockin (BLANK) out of my comments.” Chris explained to Offset that he could’ve called him personally to clear this up and then challenged him to a fight! Offset responded later with, “Coke head don’t want (smoke emoji.) But he later deleted it.

Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin do a joint interview with Vogue magazine and they say the reason they rushed to get married is because they agreed to wait until their wedding night to consummate their relationship and they couldn’t wait another minute longer! Justin admitted that he’d given up sex for an entire year because he suffered from a sex addiction and wanted to rededicate himself to God. Justin feels like God blessed his efforts by bringing Hailey back into his life. They’d dated briefly at the end of 2015. But Justin said, “When I saw her last June, I just forgot how much I loved her and how much I missed her and how much of a positive impact she made on my life. I was like…holy cow. This is what I’ve been looking for.” Twelve weeks later, they are married.
