Kanye West is Facing Lawsuits

Dustin Diamond has died… Britney Spears addresses trolls… Jennifer Lopez’s action pic… Elizabeth Chambers is “Shocked”… and Kanye West is facing class-action lawsuits

We found out less than a month ago that Dustin Diamond had been diagnosed with cancer. And yesterday, his team announced that Dustin has passed away after a brief battle with stage IV small cell carcinoma that spread rapidly through his system. He was only 44. His reps also wanted to know that Dustin did not suffer, and for that, they are grateful. For 13 years, Dustin played Screech on “Saved by the Bell,” which actually started out as “Good Morning, Miss Bell,” if you remember that! He also played Screech on “Saved but the Bell: The New Class” and “Saved by the Bell: The College Years.” If you never saw him as Screech, you may have seen him on reality shows like “Celebrity Fit Club” or “Celebrity Boxing 2,” and he also toured as a stand-up comedian for more than a decade.

Britney Spears has a message for her Instagram trolls who post mean messages about her dancing videos and selfies. She said, “I’m trying to learn how to use technology in this technology driven generation….but to be totally honest with you I can’t stand it!!! (3 crying laughing emojis) So…if my posts aren’t perfect…I’m doing this for fun!!!! If you think I should look like I’m on a magazine cover when I dance….sorry ain’t happening (lady in a red dress dancing, a monkey and a crying laughing emoji)!!!!” Look. So what if Britney likes to try new filters on her selfies and dance in her foyer in a sports bra and roll down the waist on her really short shorts. Leave Britney alone.

She hasn’t even started filming that “Shotgun Wedding” movie that was supposed to star alleged cannibal Armie Hammer, but Jennifer Lopez has another really fun project to look forward to. According to Deadline, Jennifer will star in a new Netflix movie called “The Mother.” She’ll play a deadly female assassin who comes out of hiding to protect the daughter she gave up years before. Deadline says this will have shades of that classic movie “The Professional” starring Natalie Portman. If you haven’t seen it, you simply MUST.

Elizabeth Chambers finally decided to speak up for herself. Just like the rest of us, Elizabeth has been reading all the stories about her estranged husband Armie Hammer’s alleged cannibalism. She finally posted on Instagram, “For weeks, I’ve been trying to process everything that has transpired. I am shocked, heartbroken, and devastated. Heartbreak aside, I am listening, and will continue to listen and educate myself on these delicate matters. I didn’t realize how much I didn’t know. I support any victim of assault or abuse and urge anyone who has experienced this pain to seek the help she or he needs to heal. At this time, I will not be commenting further on this matter. My sole focus and attention will continue to be on our children, on my work and on healing during this incredibly difficult time. Thank you for all of the love and support, and thank you in advance for your continued kindness, respect, and consideration for our children and me as we find ways to move forward.”

Kanye West is being sued by over 800 former cast and crew of his Sunday Service and Nebuchadnezzar opera. Two class action lawsuits have been filed, one with 500 people and one with 300 people, alleging mistreatment of performers and staff. Most of the complaints come down to work conditions and unfair payments. Many allege Kanye did not pay enough, pay overtime, pay on time, or pay at all. Sources say the number of plaintiffs could reach closer to 1,000 people. A source said “No one knows how involved Kanye himself was, if he knew what was going on, as it was all so last minute, it was terribly ran. Whether it was mismanagement, accidental, or on purpose, sources estimate Kanye’s payout could be as high as $30M should he choose to fight, after settling with the plaintiffs and paying his legal bills.
