First Netflix cracked down on password sharing, which they’ve been rolling out globally over the past year. Even though people were ticked about it, that move paid off. In the first 3 months of the crackdown, their membership grew by almost 8.8M worldwide. Based on that success, Disney+ decided they would start cracking down on password sharing and now, Hulu has announced they’re doing the same thing. Yesterday, Hulu sent out an email to its subscribers that said, in part, “Unless otherwise permitted by your Service Tier, you may not share your subscription outside of your household.” So what qualifies as a household? Hulu defines it as “a collection of devices associated with your primary personal residence that are used by the individuals who reside therein.” Hulu added, “If we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated this Agreement, we may limit or terminate access to the Service and/or take any other steps as permitted by this Agreement.”

Speaking of Netflix, Leave the World Behind starring Julia Roberts, Ethan Hawke and Mahershala Ali is now one of their most popular films of all time. In its first 52 days of streaming, it’s had 136.3M views, leapfrogging over Extraction at No. 10 and Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery at No. 9 to land in the No. 8 spot on Netflix’s most popular English films list. The rest of the Top 10 are The Mother at No. 7, We Can Be Heroes at No. 6, The Gray Man at No. 5, Bird Box at No. 4, The Adam Project at No. 3, Don’t Look Up at No. 2, and the No. 1 most-watched English language movie on Netflix is Red Notice, with 230.9M views.

Back in September 2019, Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra dropped $20M for a 7 bedroom, 9 bathroom mansion that came with a chef’s kitchen, a temperature-controlled wine room, an indoor basketball court, bowling alley, billiards room, a home theater and entertainment lounge, a full-service gym that includes a spa with steam shower…..and now, it comes with mold. Water damage led to a mold infestation, forcing Nick, Priyanka and baby girl Malti to move out while everything is decontaminated and repaired. Page Six says the couple is involved in a huge legal battle over it, because about 6 months after they moved in, they started to have a lot of issues with the pool and spa that led to leaks that entered the home, making it uninhabitable due to the damage and current mold infestation. They’re suing the builder over his shoddy work. Exact costs haven’t been determined, but according to the lawsuit, the cost of waterproofing will exceed $1.5M and general damages are estimated to be around $2.5M.

The production budget for the new movie Argylle hasn’t been confirmed, but it’s believed to be around $200M. In order for it to be considered a box office success, industry experts say it needs to make around $300M, and if it hits $400M, there’s a good chance that Argylle could become a franchise. That all depends on the audience who shows up on opening weekend, because word of mouth can make or break the box office. But if it’s up to critics, Argylle will quickly exit theaters, never to be heard from again. As of this morning, it has a 38% rating on Rotten Tomatoes among all critics, but only 14% of its top critics have something nice to say about it.

Kim Kardashian took her 10-year-old daughter North, 11-year-old niece Penelope Disick, and a group of their friends to Nobu Malibu, and North’s daddy showed up a short time later. Kanye showed up with a black mask covering his entire head, but without his wife Bianca. We don’t know what they were celebrating, but when the little girls left, they were all wearing Kanye’s merch, including Yeezy slides and sweaters promoting Kanye’s upcoming album Vultures, which features North, aka Miss Westie. Kanye left the party early — driving with his head and face still covered by that black mask, by the way. Is that legal? He must’ve headed straight to the airport because he was a surprise performer at Travis Scott’s Circus Maximus tour stop in Orlando last night.
