Weekend box office news… 50th annual NAACP Awards… Chrissy Teigen’s tweet… Kourtney Kardashian is seeing somebody… and ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ returns with its new star

“Dumbo” was number one at the box office, but with only $45 million in ticket sales, it’s still considered a disappointment. “Us” came in second with $33.6 million, followed by “Captain Marvel” with $20.5 million. The big news is how well the new “Unplanned” did. It earned $6.1 million for a fifth place finish — one of the highest openings ever for a faith-based movie. And Matthew McConaughey had his worst wide opening ever. “The Beach Bum” bombed with $1.8 million and a tenth place finish.

At the 50th annual NAACP Awards Saturday night, Beyonce beat out LeBron James, Regina King, and “Black Panther” director Ryan Coogler and its star Chadwick Bossman for the Entertainer of the Year. “Black Panther” won almost all the awards it was up for — Outstanding Motion Picture, Outstanding Direction, and ALL the acting awards except for Outstanding Actress. That went to Amandla Stenberg for “The Hate U Give.” Over on the TV side of things, “black – ish” won a bunch of awards — Outstanding Comedy and all the Outstanding Acting Awards for comedies. “Power” won Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Actor for Omari Hardwick. Taraji P. Henson won for her work on “Empire.” “The Real” won for Outstanding Talk Series and “Iyanla: Fix My Life” for Outstanding Reality Program.

Chrissy Teigen tweeted on Saturday, “It’s been too long since Thanksgiving. I’m gonna make Thanksgiving dinner tonight.” Her feed is always filled with all the food she makes, and somebody finally asked her, “How do you eat like this??” Chrissy responded, “basically I am 20 pounds heavier than I was before miles. he’s 10 months old, I never lost the last bit because I just love food too much. Just coming to terms with my new normal, when I had this certain number for so long!” She added, “the thinnest I’ve ever been was right after Luna. Postpartum depression. I’LL TAKE THESE POUNDS AND THIS FEELING!”

I’m hesitant to say this is a relationship because last time we talked about Kourtney Kardashian seeing somebody, it turns out they were pranking us. But now people are saying Kourtney has a little something going on with 23-year-old singer Harry Hudson. He’s actually been friends with Kendall and Kylie for a while. They promoted Harry’s music on their social media when he was first getting started. But sources say Harry’s been spending more and more time with Kourtney and her kids. Yesterday, the two of them went to Kanye’s church service together.

When he and Kim Kardashian first got together, Kanye refused to be on “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.” My, how times have changed! Last night, season 16 kicked off with Kim AND Kanye sitting down for an interview. WHY is Kanye finally doing it? He said part of the reason is because of “The Incredibles.” He said, “It starts off with the interviews. Superheroes are giving interviews. The wife got a big butt, and I just see our life becoming more and more and more like ‘The Incredibles’ until we can finally fly.”
