Meghan Markle is back in the USA! She flew into NYC on Friday because her best friend, stylist Jessica Mulroney, is hosting a shower for 15 of Meghan’s closest friends. Meghan has been keeping a low profile, but Harper’s Bazaar reported that she stopped by Ladurée’s in Soho on Saturday for some macarons and tea in one of the bakery’s private rooms. Today’s shower reportedly will take place at a hotel on the Upper East Side.

It’s been 10 years since their last album and almost six years since they announced their breakup, but several sources confirmed to Us Weekly that the Jonas Brothers are getting the band back together! Only this time, Kevin, Joe and Nick are keeping it simple and they’ll go by the name JONAS. The Sun reported that the brothers all flew to London recently to discuss their comeback, which would include new music and a documentary. None of the brothers has commented on these rumors.

Oh, Tekashi 6ix9ine….Only 22 years old and he has really made a mess of things. After pleading guilty to a ton of charges including drug trafficking and firearms offenses, he WAS facing a minimum of 47 years in prison and a maximum of life. But Tekashi struck a deal with prosecutors. In exchange for him ratting out the members of his Nine Trey Blood gang, feds are going to drop a number of the charges against Tekashi. And they’ve agreed not to go after him for crimes he hasn’t even been charged with yet! Tekashi even testified in front of a grand jury, telling authorities his role in trying to kill rival gangs and how he was in a plot to shoot Chief Keef last June. Because of all this, Tekashi will most likely need witness protection while he waits to find out how much time he’ll ultimately serve. His sentencing is scheduled for January 23, 2020.

We’re learning more details about Miranda Lambert’s new husband, NYC police officer Brendan McLoughlin. They reportedly met on November 2 when Miranda was performing with Pistol Annie’s on Good Morning America and Brendan was working crowd control. His baby was boy was born three days later. According to sources, Brendan wasn’t involved with the woman who gave him a child, so Miranda didn’t wreck yet another home. But that doesn’t mean he’s not a jerk. The mother of Brendan’s former fiancée told RadarOnline.com that Brendan was engaged to her daughter Jackie when he got this other woman pregnant, and Jackie found out when the pregnant girl called and told her! She said that Brendan denied it at first, but then after he finally admitted it was true, he begged Jackie to marry him anyway, which she obviously didn’t. But Brendan didn’t end up with the mother of his child, either, and now he’s Mr. Miranda Lambert. Excuse me, Sgt. Mr. Miranda Lambert. Yes, Brendan recently got a promotion, and he’s not dropping everything to move to Nashville with his bride. Reportedly, they’re going to commute back-and-forth between New York and Tennessee for a year, with Miranda doing most of the flying, and then Brendan will reassess the situation.

In the latest developments in the Jussie Smollett case, several sources told the CBS affiliate in Chicago that they know why Jussie staged this whole fake attack. They say Jussie was angry that a threatening, racist letter sent to him on the set of “Empire” didn’t get enough national attention, so he came up with the idea of staging this fake attack and then approached the two brothers from Nigeria with his plan. TMZ’s sources say the brothers told officers that Jussie wanted this to be a physical thing, but that he didn’t want to be seriously hurt. The plan was for them to suddenly recognize Jussie from TV, shout racist and homophobic slurs at him, and then attack. They rehearsed it and then helped Jussie scout the perfect location. They said they ended up choosing a spot near Jussie’s apartment because he thought a security camera would capture the whooping. As it turns out, the camera was pointed in the wrong direction. Police want to interview Jussie again, but his attorneys have been putting that off. Meantime, a grand jury is supposed to start looking at whether or not Jussie lied to police today and the Nigerian brothers have volunteered to testify. But the hearing may be postponed while police gather more evidence.

After multiple requests, investigators are still waiting to speak to Jussie Smollett again.
